Feel like I've always preferred RPG elements in games, not RPG's themselves.

Can't even think of a true RPG I played....most are some hybrid type thing.

 

What I think after five hours of Resident Evil 7

 

FFXV would likely fit that in my humble opinion

But I know what you mean (even though my thoughts are different)

Nah, we called that "not as good as Tony Hawk 2".

 

I haven't played much of 13 and I doubt I would get through, but I love Lightning. I kept on of my girlfriend's Vogues because Lightning's Louis Vuitton add was on there

 

I actually think THUG1 is the best Tony Hawk, but I'm willing to join the much larger Tony Hawk 3 army in the battle of greatest game of all time

 

Final Fantasy games are usually more about the package than any individual element in and of itself.

FFX was jaw dropping at the time graphically, and music was on point. Solid combat and sphere grid, and a great story outside of some cheesy moments.

FFXIII was much the same in its presentation, though it is much derided in other respects (In ways I both agree and disagree with)

I don't think they are an effective series of games to go back to, since presentation at the time plays such a key role in most people's impression of the series.


Also if you like JRPGs and haven't played Persona 3/4 plz do.

 

THPS 3 > THPS 2

 

I honestly can't remember them well enough to decide, I just remember playing 2 the most and it had Spider-Man so...

I do very much miss good Tony Hawk games though, ha.

 

Oh my god somebody brought up Underground 1 and I remembered how into that game I was. Truly made me feel like I was on that pro skater come up.

 

tony hawk talk is all I want now.

 

I wanted to buy a PStv just so I could play persona. I've wanted to play it so badly.

the endin mission in THUG 2 blowing up the skater paradise is the GOAT mission.

I played both THUG games recently and the first one holds up better, it's still amazing. The second one is still pretty great but the whole absurd-Jackass-vibe did not age as well in my opinion. The gameplay additions also did not improve the series in my opinion. I still love them both though.

 

I actually enjoyed Project 8 but my cousin broke my disc and I never replaced it.

 

Underground 2 was such a dissapointment

I play the first Underground at least once a year

 

Yeah P8 and the one before that were still good

 

I have been wondering for a while why no indie studio is making a Tony Hawk 3 clone, in terms of scope and game feel. Seems to me like the market is ready, after the butchered version of THPS3 that is THPS5.
