I went on like a year-long journey looking for album frames that suits my needs. Landed on these: Security Check Required

A little pricey, but I loved the wood finish and the fact that I could take LPs in and out easily.

 

Did you ever get a shipping notification? I haven't got one yet so I'm kind of worried.

Random question regarding Deja. Has anyone listened to both the recent repress and the 07 version? I own the 07 and it sounds like garbage, was wondering if the new pressing sounds any better? Now that it is readily available I've been on the fence about buying a new copy.

 

Yeah, I got mine sometime over the weekend.

 

I have the original press and the RSD press. Obviously the original is very crackly by now, but the RSD sounds perfect.

 

My new copy sounds great! Could just pick it up for cheap(ish) from a Distro like RFC or No Sleep if they have any RSD sales going on. That way you can retire the old copy and mount it on the wall.

 

Thanks for the insight! I think I will see what RSD/future deals happen, I just had a hard time justifying spending 30 bucks on a record i already own, especially not knowing if it was improved at all. I'm not a big wall mount guy, but the OG could be an exception as it was the first record I ever bought, so it has a lot of sentimental value.

 

I still haven't gotten one either.

Though I don't think they do tracking typically.

 

You could probably find it used for 15ish.

It'd be worth it, especially given that it'd give the older pressing a break from being handled.

 

if you have Patrick Stump's Spotlight 7" (/500 on yellow, came out around late 2010/early 2011), name your price. i have combed the internet for years and haven't been able to find a copy. it's all i need to complete my FOB + side projects collection.

I found a copy of Witness by Modern Life is War on this purple vinyl with blue streaks. I'm very excited to give that a spin.

Did anyone ever order the Streetlight Manifesto/Toh Koy - The Hand That Thieves LP a couple years ago. Victory putted a stop to the acoustic Toh Koy thing but I just got an email from RISC music today asking if I ever got my surprise gift with my order since they don't have a confirmation. If not asking for my new address if its different.

THey then listed my order from 2012. Curious if anyone else got that?

I am moving into a new apartment later this month and am looking for something to display my ever growing record collection (which has grown to over 500 records). Any suggestions? Right now I have most of them hidden away in an IKEA TV stand. I would like some sort of shelving so I can display them and access them easier. I will also be keeping them in my bedroom and willl be a little limited on floor space. Any suggestions? Thanks.
