Makes sense. What do you make of your season? Think you'll squeeze into the playoffs?

 

We've been pretty average, haven't improved since the end of our winning run last year. If we somehow make the playoffs it'll be a quick trip. I think we'll struggle to make the top 10 next year tbh.

 

I was actually at the match on Saturday as my Wolves supporting mate offered me a ticket. I will admit, neither team impressed me haha.

 

I think not having MLS Live for 2 years has caused me to lose touch with the league a bit.
I have absolutely no idea who Kappelhof, Maund, or Gashi are......and I only remember Higuita bc I watched the game last night...

 

Gashi was my preseason pick for MVP this year.... we'll see how that pans out.

Then I looked him up and realized he actually is legit. How did I not know about this signing?

 

Had he signed for any other team, I'm sure you would have. Colorado are going under the radar this year. Definitely a playoff team if they can avoid injuries.

Yeah the Rapids could be a problem if they get their shit together.

They might not need to once things start to click - they have the pieces. I'd rather have the Rapids rise than watch one of the usuals dominate.

 

Well I guess Toronto DID make the playoffs last year, after years of you predicting it.

So yeah, you're never wrong about these things...you just have like an 8 year margin of error.

Not sure how many of you this applies to, but those of you that live in the UK and don't have BT Sports, the Barca - Atletico game is on today on free-to-air TV, BT Sports Showcase, channel 59 on most freeview tellys.

Basically, in order to get the rights to the Champions League, BT had to keep a certain amount of it on free-to-air TV. So they put it on this one channel and didn't tell anybody about it, or do any advertising ha. But it's there and available to you tonight if needed!

As someone from the UK who follows Atletico keenly, thanks for this. I expected to be struggling to find a stream after the gym. I've yet to give in for another subscription package for BT Sports.

Born For This, as in the Paramore song. I chose it when I joined in 2008 when I was 14 cause it was the song I was listening to at the time and regretted it literally the next week haha. Just one of the reasons I was glad for the change!

Also, Sydney FC have had awful form in the A-League for like the last two months, but manage to beat Pohang Steelers twice in a row and last year's winners Guangzhou Evergrande in this year's AFC Champions League and sit on top of their group that includes Urawa Red Diamonds with 9 points and 2 games left in the group stages. Baffling.

 

Who knows. Di Marzio is convinced it's Mou. As is Ballague. English press know nothing. De Telegraaf, as far as I have seen, didn't specifically say Van Gaal is staying as an exclusive but they've run a story that Van Gaal will get €100m to spend this summer.
