Where can I pick a destination based off of my departure city? IE flights to Japan and China are cheaper out of Los Angeles instead of Phoenix. Looking to save more money.

Headed to Turks and Caicos in a couple of months for my first time international, first time flying in 12 years, and the first time seeing a beach in 17 years. Any advice for international travel or all inclusive resorts?

Denver ruled. Loved everything about it except for the food options, however, I'll admit I was somewhat reserved for the duration of the trip (AKA I probably fucked up). I really appreciate cities with good public transit and this was no exception. I don't think I'd mind living there!

My first flight was cool as hell, too. Looking forward to the next one.

    I'm flooding this thread lately.

Where do you folks book hotels? I've been using Hotels.com for their rewards program. It took me 2 years to get a $100 credit and I'm wondering if I could be saving more with another site. Honestly it seems like most booking sites are generally the same price.

Looking to go to Mexico City next year. It's exhausting trying to figure out which places are actually dangerous to visit - so many mixed opinions. I don't want to be restricted to the more affluent neighborhoods but it's hard to figure out a game plan since the city is so massive.

Planning a weekend trip to Ocean City, MD this winter. Did it last year for Valentine's Day and had a blast. No one is at the beach, so hotel rooms are cheap and restaurants are empty. Even though it's freezing, it's still awesome to have a room with a balcony that overlooks the ocean.

  9. My friends and I just decided we want to go somewhere for the New Years weekend, it's a little last minute so we probably have to figure out where in the next few days. Anyone have recommendations for places with cool celebrations/concerts going on? It doesn't have to be a big huge thing like New York does, but stuff like that is cool too! Our short list now is Chicago, Nashville, or Denver. Coming from Minneapolis, so within 12ish hours of driving would be preferred, or places that are generally cheap to fly to!

Check out the flights to Denver. If you're lenient with times, it shouldn't be too expensive. I think they're about a hundred bucks from Phoenix.

  11. I think if we had actually planned ahead we could have gotten them for that, but they're up to ~250 now :-/

There'll be 5-6 of us though, so driving 12 or so hours wouldn't be too tough. And it'd be pretty damn cheap!

I did a three to four week study abroad program there in 2011.

Went to the beach alot, went to some casinos, ate seafood, sand boarded on sand dunes, went to a new years party in the streets, drank awesome wine, took a sketchy ski lift like thing up a mountain

Mt. Desert Island, ME. It's an island with several really awesome small towns and a gorgeous national park.

I'll be visiting this place in a couple weeks. It's my first time flying in 12 years and my first time international except when I walked across the border into Canada 10 years ago.

Any tips for getting the most out of an all inclusive resort? Or tips on traveling international?

My wife and I decided last minute to fly down to Florida for the weekend. Flying into Miami and then driving down to Key Largo and relaxing.

We need out of this Massachusetts winter.
