I hate when people tell women not to cut their hair shorter

Since I'm old as balls and have started developing laugh lines around my eyes, I switched to mostly oil-based products, and my skin has probably never been better. Morning: wash, tone, plumping serum, moisturizer. Evening: remove makeup, wash, tone, serum, second serum made of snail goo because I'm disgusting, moisturizer, and usually a heavier night cream on top of that. And a sugar scrub about once a week and a fiber mask 1-2 times a week.

Dang, girl! You aren't messing around haha That's awesome. I hope to find the perfect routine someday. I don't know what snail goo is for but I'll try anything to better my skin.

I want a skin care routine but I don't want to do the research. That's kinda why I'm here.

My cleanser/toner/moisturizer are all Kiehl's Ultra, which I will probably swear by until I'm in the grave, and the snail goo is this stuff. It seems to be doing really good things for my pores and overall smoothness!

Good general advice: don't use harsh ingredients, because that'll cause your skin to overcompensate by producing more oil. For dudes (if I can safely assume you're a dude!), all you really need is a good, gentle cleanser and moisturizer - my husband uses Cetaphil for both, and it works great for him.

People who wear glasses--do they irritate your skin? I get red spots on my nose where the bridge leans. Above my ears hurt sometimes, but I can't tell if the skin is irritated (since it's hard to see up there) or if that's just a natural side effect of wearing glasses. I admittedly clean my glasses very infrequently, but even when I got in the habit of doing it this stuff persisted.

Mine don't, but sometimes the skin by my temples itches.

With my old glasses that didn't fit well it'd hurt above my ears. Sometimes I break out a bit where they rest on my nose, but not much anymore since I got my new pair

You might need to get your glasses adjusted. As in the frames, not the lenses. They may be sitting wrong on your face. That's the only time my glasses have caused any discomfort

I have terrible skin from mostly picking at it and now the scars and pores look so obvious to me.

@windowbirds This is definitely me. Like I'm trying to stop picking, but I feel like after so many years of doing it, stopping now won't do much lol WHOOPS

    who can never be sure

My "skincare" routine consists of one thing and one thing only:

I use this as cleanser, moisturizer, primer, and makeup remover. And one tub lasts me like, 6-7 months.

Thank you for responding! I was a little worried that it was a skin thing since my nose breaks out, but this is a relief because I think the place where I bought my glasses will adjust them for free.

Is anyone else overwhelmed by Tarte's constant release of new products? I feel like they need to chill out and focus more. I can't imagine ever buying a limited edition foundation..

YES. I'm a sucker for limited edition too. Never a foundation tho. That's just silly. I haven't bought anything from them since the matte tartelette palette tho cause it's just ridic

    ok

I use Boscia's Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil and I like it quite a lot. I find it's pretty efficient at taking off a lot of eye makeup (works well for the rest of the face too). My only complaint is that my eyes become blurry for some seconds after washing it away but I can deal cause it doesn't feel oily afterwards, break me out or dry out my eye area.

YES, same here. Me and my dry as shit skin swear by their Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask.

The only things really working on my skin right now are Origins charcoal mask and the aztec healing clay mask. Nothing else makes a dent, but it's also not really ideal to use those every day, especially the aztec mask which I just do once a week. But every time I don't sleep with the charcoal mask on the acne either stays the same or gets worse

Hiiii just a heads up that the Sephora VIB/VIB Rouge sale is going on! I checked out the sale section of the website today and noticed some of the Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay items were put in there! Thinking of getting the brow box because it comes out to $12.

What setting powders would you guys recommend? I've heard some good things about Laura Mercier's and the MUFE one but I don't know where to commit since they're so expensive help :(

Both Revlon and NYX make some that work just as well as the expensive ones if you ask me.
