Fluff! Marshmallow spread that was created in New England. Recent discussions made me want to run a poll wondering how many people outside of New England have had it

I can't imagine a childhood without stealing the fluff jar and secretly eating spoonfuls of it.

They do sell it in stores around here (Wisco) but I've never had it.

I've always thought it was probably just used in like frosting recipes or something like that. Not the case?

If someone suggested I try whatever is in that jar I would think they were trying to pull a fast one on me by getting me to eat a spoonful of mayonnaise.

I have heard of it. I've never had Fluff the brand but I've had the jet puffed marshmallow cream. Not on sandwiches tho. Just with baking usually. That sandwich pic looks super sweet and gross.

South Florida native and yes I'd had fluff many times w/ peanut butter and bread as a child at friends' houses. Never "got" it.

Same. Never seen that brand but we have Jet Puffed. I always assumed it was for baking or dessert toppings or something

Totally, used to make sandwiches with it and peanut butter when I was younger. I preferred it over pb&j's. Had no idea it was a NE thing though.

  11. What Kiana and ChaseTx said. Jet Puff is the name, that I couldn't remember. Never heard of the "Fluff" brand. Assuming either one is different than marshmallow topping you put on ice cream.

Here's my mommy blog style story abou fluff:

I still remember the first time I had fluff. I was eight years old, my family was doing a roadie to Saskatchewan for a family reunion. We made one of our stops in Montreal cause my parents went to uni there and a bunch of their friends still live there. We went to their friend Brian's house for dinner, and he offered my brothers and me ice cream and fluff for dessert. We didn't know what it was but LOVED it. For the next two days in the car we wouldn't shut up about fluff.

  15. I haven't had it in forever and feel like it would be disgustingly sweet for me as an adult but it was incredible as a kid

It was a staple in our house when I was a kid. I wasn't a big jelly fan, so the fluffernutter was my go-to sandwich. I'm from NE but had no idea it was a regional thing.

My dad used to put fluff on everything. Well, not most things. But def his ice cream.

yes! it's great on ice cream.

I also thought a pb&f is a little dry so I used to add some j in there too. haven't had one in years though

I had no idea it was regional. We ALWAYS had it stocked in my house.

I had a short phase where I would eat that stuff right out of the jar. I'm surprised I've made it this far in life.
