    I honestly didn't know he had a solo album out until today when the song Neon Noir came on in the car and damn, did it hit.

    Will be checking out the album tomorrow.

    It’s pretty good if you’re into HIM. The fact that Ville wrote and produced the album shows how he was basically the brainchild behind a lot of HIM’s music. IIRC, he wrote Venus Doom by himself while in the Rocky Mountains.

    I dig the album as a whole, definitely leans more on HIM’s later catalog of work.

    Pushed me to revisit HIM’s back-catalog for the first time in ages outside of some of their staples and it sent me into a full nostalgia trip! I always forget how much I loved this band growing up. Even to the point of drawing the heartagram logo on my school books.
