I genuinely can’t relate to people who only go to stadium/arena shows.

I can’t tell you how many people have looked at me in shock over the years when I say I’m going to another show because they think I’m talking about like… the Eras Tour or The Rolling Stones or something like that.

If I had a nickel for all the times I’ve heard “do you have good seats?” “Who are you seeing? I bet I know them! … oh no I don’t” “wait you’re telling me you got ON THE STAGE?!??”

 

to me as someone who goes to a lot of hardcore, metal, pop punk shows there is too much of a disconnect as those big arena shows. It never feels worth the money to me after the fact. And also there are far too many people that goes to those shows that spends several hundred just to talk and drink. So you could literally have a person behind you who is talking over the music at full volume.

 

Yeah I just don’t want to pay those prices. Cheaper to check out young local bands and way more fun, IMO

 

Majority of shows I go to are in clubs and theaters as well which are typically all standing. I just meant to specify that when I opt to go to arenas/stadiums, I’ll aim for GA wherever possible

 

Same for me. It's not worth it to me if I'm in a seat far back. I always aim for pit in arenas and sheds

My friend and I were already planning to head to Chicago for Oasis/MCR in the hopes that we can land cheap tickets before the show and worst case get a nice trip out of it. Maybe I can get her on board for SOAD too

Are they teasing something? They toured a lot this year, so I would be surprised if they were doing a headliner.

 

This is quite literally why i never tell anyone (other than my wife) that I'm going to a concert. It's not worth the risk of having these type of conversations.

 

More than likely not getting announced until after Underoath is finished, but if they did want to get it out before the holidays that would be great. Definitely trying to hit that tour up.

 

To be fair I'm getting this at small shows all the time now so everyone lacks any sort of social cognition.
