Also because the Brand New thread was cool back then, and people outside it hated it.

But that thread was at least extremely welcoming to newbies, so long as they were brand new fans

 

True. Man, I remember days when I sat for hours on the computer with just that thread.

 

That thread was the beginning of AP feeling like home. And the switch over to chorus has proven it's just the people that makes it feel like that, not the site, because I don't miss the site (granted its not gone...yet) but I mean, it helps that Jason did an absolutely stellar job on Chorus and blew ap's current set up out of the water

 

i remember wanting to be a part of wndr thread clique so bad

Wndr thread was a lesser attempt at what we had in the brand new thread. Still, I met some very awesome people through there as well, some of whom (sup schlot, Ben, ry ry) are my current day best friends

Chris and Tim were among my very first

 

Chris and I became friends because I jumped into a conversation in the Lyric-A-Day Thread and somehow Tom Petty came up and I rec'd him the She's The One soundtrack

 

It's at the point where if I say someone is from AP, my parents are automatically cool with it

 

i've met one person from AP in real life i think

 

Same lol I've met so many people

 

I've met Steve, Anna, and Alex ( @US Camera) and chatted with Kayla on the phone.

 

It's amazing how our generation was taught so strictly to never give out information over the internet and now we're all doing secret Santas and shit

 

I've met at least ten people from this site irl maybe even more

Never met anyone from here, but I did make awkward eye contact with TSwift fanboy Kurt at a concert, and then confirm afterwards that it was him.
