Driving in Texas is scary but being within 3 feet of any car in Florida is scarier

 

Oh yes central Florida driving is a nightmare

 

For real people do DUMB ASS shit in that state

 

Can’t even change lanes properly on a highway that has no turns or hills

 

my bold take is that traffic anywhere in any state is bad

Traffic in Baltimore is actually not that bad for the city size

DC used to be horrible but after the pandemic it’s just regular bad

 

I have heard nightmare stories about DC traffic, primarily how diplomats drive.

Much of my early 20s was spent living in Maryland but going to Virginia regularly:
-dad lives in Woodbridge
-had a girlfriend who’s family lived in Manassas and who went to college in Fredericksburg
-worked part time for awhile for a telecommunications firm in Sterling & was working with two close friends so I’d stay with them in Herndon

let me tell you how many goddamn times I sat in a car for 3 hours trying to get across DC

 

It’s actually shocking how much better the traffic got after the WFH trend became more widespread among government workers and people who work for government consulting firms. I’m surprised it hasn’t gone back to 11/10 horrible traffic now that a lot of them had to go back to the office. It’s “bad” but about what you’d expect, nowhere near as hellacious as it used to be. DC area is a way nicer place to live now that it has more reasonable traffic

Maybe they’d contest 25 year old me but I changed after that. And even then I wasn’t a *shitty* driver I was just fast and rude lol

which is shitty by some standards… I prefer that to people who don’t know how to maintain awareness of the cars around them

 

You and I have some pretty intense disagreements about how red lights function so I’m gonna hold off on declaring you a good driver lol
