Cousin had a tasting tonight. Got to try Pappy 12 and Weller (green? Idk what variant) for the first time. Excellent

 

Weller Green, or whatever the official name is, is quite nice. I know it's super over hyped and over priced now, but it's because it is that tasty

 

I think eagle rare 10 is easier to find for about the same price as Weller green and tastes better imo. How was the pappy?

 

Great, as expected. Idk if it was "pay $1000" on the secondary market for it, but it was a clear standout from the tasting that we did.

 

Store was out of Rare Breed the last time I went, so I grabbed Smoke Wagon Small Batch on a whim and it was one of the better blind buys I've had.

 

Who wants Military Special sent to them? Honestly, I haven't even bought this stuff before (this, or the vodka version I've seen on base)

Has anyone tried the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C923? It's the best in years. Just incredible.

Doritos whiskey sounds equally as nightmarish as pickle whiskey

Anyway, going to try to get a nice bottle for the holiday season

 

I bought myself a bottle of Found North Batch 008. I haven't opened it yet, but Batch 006 was one of the best whiskeys I've had, so I have pretty high expectations.

 

brother-in-law was gifted some Woodford Reserve Double Oak and it's been a lovely addition to the rotation

 

Picked up some Four Roses Single Barrel for the first night of vacation. No Old Fashioned supplies handy, so I’m sipping it neat on the deck. Cheers

i really like 4r small batch and i basically always have a standard bottle around. next time im trying to treat myself maybe ill try the single barrel or small batch select

 

I must have seen this thread before bed, because part of a dream I had involved drinking whisky but it tasted like, a thousand proof, and I was trying to convince my friends it was good

Picked up a bottle of Ardbeg 10 for Thanksgiving. Haven’t had it before but I’ve been getting more into Scotch recently after visiting Scotland. Favorite so far is Bruichladdich Port Charlotte, I love peat.

 

My dudddeeeee. Smokier the better for me, I love Ardbeg so much, maybe my fav. Highly highly recommend Caol Ila

 

I tried Taketsuru last night. Pretty fantastic and maybe my favorite Japanese whiskey that I’ve tried.
