I’m legit shocked this is happening again. It must’ve made a profit this last year

 

if you aren’t a member of the community on fb you should be, they do a lot of inside baseball in there. Literally as of right after the fest it was never happening again. Sloss didn’t want it back, they didn’t own the name, they had basically broken even at best every year but 2022 they lost money. They guy who also did so what was walking away from the fest industry.

 

Yeah, I’m in there but quit looking after the fest, haha. I knew Mike was moving into a new role (we’re LinkedIn connections after my write up in 2021). So curious about how this came back together.

Which reminds me, I had planned on writing about this year for Chorus. Oops.

 

incredible… truly wonder what changed in a month and a half that led to ALL of this being resolved.

but also, the community gets all the news right away as it drops and can be super insightful about all things FF. it’s also something i really love about the fest- they’re almost too transparent sometimes about what is going on. and i appreciate that.

and we essentially give them suggestions about newer bands, etc it really is an amazing community

 

A Title Fight reunion should cover all costs they have to put it on again IMO

I feel like I already said goodbye this year and accepted it's not coming back. I'm going to have a 6 months baby girl by next October so I'll probably won't be able to attend again.

A year early (or late lol) but Trophy Scars, Underminded and Park would be swell.

 

Get all the hot Birmingham bands (ERRA, Gideon, No Cure) on there for one date.

 

Super cool but at the same time it made the novelty of this year being the last one feel moot lmao

 

I mean I don’t think they necessarily wanted last year to be the last one tbh, I just think those were the cards they were dealt. But I mean this year was probably the best fest I’ve ever been to, so I mean I am 100% ok with circumstances changing that would enable them to do more.

 

Is it the same people running it? It seemed from interviews that Chad was done.
