@CarpetElf more precisely, is it possible to take bus to and from work cause then you wouldn't even have to drive your wife to work and you wouldn't have to get up that early on close days, she could just keep the car

I understand if its way too long a trip or if that trip goes through sketchy areas of town and you wouldn't wanna do it

The tough thing about visiting LA is that I know people there and therefore everything gets cluttered so I have to hide from like half my friends that I'm going until I'm actually there

oh yeah 16 miles doesn't seem like a lot but in city traffic you multiply by 2.5 and then on a bus you multiply THAT by 2 lol

 

There's just a lot of people in LA so higher probability of having a friend

my practice space is ten (10) miles away but to take the bus to it,

i have to walk a mile uphill which takes about 12-13 minutes (if the bus doesn't suddenly come early after saying it was gonna be late, which sometimes makes me have to run halfway up that hill)

and then since the bus cuts through dense parts of the city rather than taking the highway, even with no traffic / light stops it takes 30 min to go the other 9 miles... in dense traffic & with a lot of stops, meanwhile, that shit takes like 50-55 minutes.

the absolute fastest I can get there is 45 minutes and sometimes it takes like 70 minutes total, when it's literally a 15 minute drive in no traffic and 25 minute drive in heavy traffic. Even if there's an accident and semi trucks are backed up at this weird light that's up a hill that's still like 32 minutes max / can go another direction and avoid that traffic

 

and dont even get him started on if a bridge were to collapse
