I have this and it fucking sucks so bad

 

Ugh it blows. The pain is pretty reminiscent of when I sprained my ankle. Nowhere near as bad, but still feels like I'm stepping on knives.

I kind of really let myself go lately so my doctor told me I need to start slow and take 5 minute walks until I build up my strength. So, of course my sister and her boyfriend took us on an unexpected 30 minute walk around the city. Had no pain that night but woke up with it.

Immediately bought some Hoka sneakers on a payment plan because everyone keeps telling me how amazing they are

 

"You eat pieces of shit for breakfast?" is probably among the top 10 movie quotes burned into my brain, half of which are from Happy Gilmore

 

On the one hand, I feel a lot worse heading into election day than I did either 2016 or 2020. And obviously we know how 2016 turned out and even 2020 was way closer than I was expecting.

On the other, I feel better than I did in 2022 (though I feel like the stakes in 2022 were smaller. losing the senate would've been bad. but its not like we actually got anything done in the senate over the last two years)

still breaks my brain that it is even this close

So if Kamala wins Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina, and Wisconsin it is enough to get her to 270 on their own and we will know the results elections night

If she loses any of those states and It comes down to PA, AZ, or NV being necessary it is going to take days

Apparently Matt read an incredibly moving original poem he wrote about the current political status quo, and the importance of embracing solidarity and not giving into hopelessness. Can't find any video of that yet.

 

I doubt this is the reason why they didn’t do it, but I think in order to get results of any ‘scientific’ certainty, they would have to call every single Palestinian American if their response rates were the same as the rest of America, as apparently the NYTimes polls have been needing to contact ~250K people To get a large enough representative sample in their polls this year, which is roughly equal to the estimated Palestinian American population.

again not trying to defend newspapers here because they have all been absolutely awful on everything lately, but I do wonder if it would have been possible to get a real poll like hes saying here with any meaningful results
