Mostly BYOB, but i try to buy at least some beers for folks, and people can always help themselves to whatever pot I’ve got.

Im thinking less in terms of policies even so far, mostly in how can you engage people in an honest way and how do you present yourself to people in a way where they can see a place for themselves in what you’re doing. Also what the structure should look like in terms of making it something where party members would have a hand themselves in crafting a party platform, dues, all that kinda thing.

Vatican has it best, here's how to adopt:

• Each ward votes for its own representatives
• The governor selects top 3 reps when a new senator is needed for people to cast votes on.
• Simple majority (first past post) chooses the top 2, which are sent to the president for final selection.
• The sitting president chooses the new senator from among the two sent to them or vetoes the decision, sending it back to the state. However, the Governor in union with the populace can re-send the two for the president to choose from, with no more veto from the President.
• When it is time for there to be a new president—like the papal conclave—senators are locked inside the senate chambers for ritualized ballots 4 times a day. There must be a two-thirds majority. Senators can vote from amongst themselves, or for any eligible citizen.
• Once the two-thirds majority is reached, the elected person is the President, and they either appoint the runner-up as VP or the next senior member of the Senate as their VP, irrespective of party.
• If a president dies in office, the VP becomes the dean of the senate/acting president, merely overseeing the next election of the president.
• Finally, if a presidential election lasts more than 7 days, creature comforts like catered meals are terminated, and senators subsist on bread and water (barring medical necessity) until the 2/3rds majority is reached.
