No, we had mail ballot elections prior to COVID. It's 100% less enthusiasm for a candidate that we've had in 3 elections now and the other that was not selected through a primary and is courting voters from the other party instead of their own and making massively unpopular choices like supporting a genocide and protecting crypto?

 

I feel like I remember getting my ballot a full week or two earlier in 2020, but who knows. Maybe that plays a part. I also think Harris is going to win CO, but no where near the 13.5 point margin Biden got in 2020.

 

Most likely not unless your USPS facility was massively backed up? Ballot mailing deadline has been the same since mail ballot election was implemented in CO (no sooner than 22 days, no later than 18 days, before the election)

 

I’m probably just misremembering 2020. I feel like I had it for a full month before the election, but memory I’m sure that’s wrong.

 

I just would be interested to see how it would compare to the 2016 election. I get Colorado had mail-in ballots before COVID but my assumption is that COVID drove more mail ballots in the other years in that chart (particularly the 2020 general), it would potentially get rid of some of that noise by throwing 2016 in there.

This is not even for new accounts, I have noticed a distinct uptick in right wing bullshit on that "For You" tab that I have no clue who they think the You is because it has zero appeal to me. That seems to be a feature not a bug though.

 

I've fully moved over to Bluesky and the vibes are so much better. No ads, no political content other than from people that I follow.
