Also, really annoying that VAR didn't pull back a foul against us earlier on, which would have disrupted what turned into a Chelsea goal.

Oh, the referee ruled it out having watched a replay. Not sure why VAR couldn't look at that and say there was basically no contact at all.

It's all such a game of passing the buck...

Something still doesn't look quite right at Newcastle. We just don't seem to be as coordinated as a unit as we were last year.

Chelsea are a bit chaotic in places still (they seemed to be losing the plot a bit at the end), but when you've got the attacking players they have, you can afford to be a bit sloppy...

 

I expected a loss, but VAR just inventing a penalty to give is just demented and completely demoralising from a viewer pov. Like this shit is fucking tiring. It’s every week there’s at least one game that is decided by VAR either overstepping or not doing anything. It’s quite amazing how much they’re getting this wrong. At least when it’s just the ref being shit you can acknowledge it’s a fast game with a lot happening.

 

I finished the marathon. Someone in front of me at the start was wearing a Yamal jersey.

Missed majority of today’s game but a very underwhelming performance from Spurs. It’s extremely frustrating. It really feels like they’re close to breaking through and becoming a top team. But the inconsistency is still present. Which I suppose is a little expected at this point. I think some of our depth is weak and/or very young. Staying patient because I see the vision though.

 

Forgot what winning felt like. Nearly in tears at full time. Stupid game.
