Saw the You're Next steelbook at a Walmart here in Georgia on vacation and then I saw the MaXXXine blu ray and chose that instead. Had to complete the trilogy lol

I didn’t say it was the best or anything! I just happen to watch it the most because it’s one of those early ones for me that are a comfort now. I saw it when it came out and I was 11 and hadn’t see the original yet, so it just sticks with me more. I watch House of Wax more than I watch the other TCM movies. Someone wanna fight about it? It may be controversial, but those movies are good 2000s horror and they’re both easy fun watches.

The best movies don’t necessarily have to be your favorites too. This is where I drop the mic, the screen turns to black, but 1 hour and 34 minutes pass by and the screen is still black but never turned off. You’re not watching a black screen. You’re actually watching AvP:Requiem.

    hey like what you like

I get comfort watches for sure but I must admit my first reaction wasn’t all that dissimilar to his

That’s totally fair. I have the same reactions in here for other stuff all the time I’m sure. lol
But yeah, I think the scarier ones hold more impact if you don’t rewatch them as much. So that’s why I try to go with fun and/or comforting to throw on all the time.

There’s a slickness to how the TCM remake is made that I get why it’s easy to watch more frequently. I haven’t seen that one in maybe 15 years or more and have been tempted to revisit it.

Oh yeah I'm not sure how a revisit now would be. I benefited from aging with it, so it's not that kind of good. lol I hope I'm wrong though and maybe you'll enjoy it.

Good lord Beetlejuice 2 had a ton going on but I really liked it. Justin Theroux was hilarious

Anyone watched The Haunting of the Queen Mary? It looks terrible, but as a Long Beacher I feel it's my duty.

The Old Dark House was charming as expected. Loved the more light hearted funny beats in it and fully expected it to veer further off into Young Frankenstein levels. It didn’t at all but still a good watch.

Am I the only one that didn’t completely hate the most recent Black Christmas? Like it wasn’t good, but I didn’t get the severe hate it got compared to the 2000s one.

  25. It's the only one I've seen so far and I also didn't hate it but I did think it was a little heavy handed and from the reception it sounds like the other ones are way better

Anyway I started rewatching Smile and I just noticed her partner is A-Train haha
