Did anyone in this thread happen to attend a west coast date of this current Bowling For Soup tour?

Is Makeout supposed to be first? I’m at the Anaheim show rn and despite the fact that they’re billed first, they’re playing second. Seems like they’re running late? It’s been 45 min since the first opener finished

UPDATE: After an hour, Makeout came on and only played one song. Sound system at the venue got fucked. Hopefully BFS can play…

Made some tour lineups I think will be a package based off of ST lineup(the JEW & Underoath ones are wishful thinking)

    Korn/AIC/Chevelle

    LP/Incubus/I Prevail/Hoobastank

    MIW/Whitechapel/UABB

    JEW/Set It Off/Sick Puppies

    Underoath/TWDP/TPIY

I know it’s just for fun, but a lot of the times bands get booked far out for those dwp and then plan dates with openers etc around that. So there might be tours but not all the bands on them get to play the fests.

The sonic temple lineup looks super impressive, probably the best overall lineup from a Danny wimmer festival i've seen in a long time, it looks like When we were young the radio rock and mainstream metal version if I were to exclude the emo bands.

If Linkin Park really want to attempt stadiums next summer, then that Incubus & Hoobastank support could really help.

Linkin Park did an amphitheater run w/Incubus and Mutemath in 2012. I don't think the date I went to sold out but who knows, maybe nostalgia can help?

One of my favorite nonsense memories was shotgunning a Dr. Pepper with Stan on a Plans tour. Stan rules, I love seeing Summerbruise's name more & more frequently

@troyplaysbass if you want a heads up since you inquired previously, Chicago is very likely the next stop so I’m guessing either Sunday or Monday

  18. Hoping for Monday (assuming I'd even be able to get a ticket of course). My cousin was at the Madison show last night and said it was amazing.

John // OC now, OH forever.

I was going to go but didn't - weird as hell that a venue like House Of Blues would have issues with sound.

Yeah that sounds like Stan lmao. If you like Plans make sure to check out Post Gospel, the other band that spun out of them.

Unless there's some sort of TikTok thing I'm not aware... I honestly don't think Hoobastank would be any help on a tour like that. Don't they do like, 200-500 capacity rooms? LP would be better served slotting in a younger band with an equivalent draw.

Incubus would obviously be a big help too but I get the feeling that they're past the "opening act" stage of their career. And given how hard they've been shying away from the nu-metal tag... It would surprise me a lot if this were to happen.

Actually, it turned out it was Makeout’s equipment, not the venue.

But yeah it was weird. Their drummer just kept sound-checking his bass drum repeatedly for like 10 minutes during the time they were supposed to be on. There was no house music either or anything.

But yeah, they only played one song. BFS invited them to play a song during their set which was a nice gesture.

It was a fun show overall, but I was kind of over it by the halfway point of the album because of Jaret’s trademark stage banter. At that point it was like pulling teeth

Yeah on their own Hoobastank dont have much draw, but packaged with LP and Incubus it'll do well. People love nostalgia.

Half the bands on the When We Were Young lineups only do like 1k clubs on their own but draw 20k crowds at the fest. It's all about the nostalgia package.
