watched the trailer and it looks awesome but being as I’m feeling a little too lazy to sign up for a free trial of Shudder, I’ll watch it as soon as it turns up on my not-so-legal movie sites. think I’m gonna go with I See You. had never heard of it until yesterday and the plot sounds really interesting

 

Most times it wasn’t bad tbh but you’d have people get on a phone or whisper and workers would walk by and not say anything. Just kind of odd.

 

And when did you live there? I went to Missouri State and ended up working and living there for about 15 years. I moved in 2021.

Forgot to report back on Oddity - I really like Damian McCarthy's visual and storytelling styles. I think it did a great job of being mysterious and tense and having some really cool imagery. The ending kind of landed with a thud for me -- as a whole, it felt like it was missing some depth or connective tissue and I think I prefer Caveat -- but I still really enjoyed it and look forward to revisiting it/seeing what he does next.

 

i'm 30 now, but i was born and raised there and lived there most of my life until mid-2019 when i started grad school at Penn State, save for a few years of undergrad in Rolla (finished my BS at Missouri State) and 6 months working for the MO government in Jefferson City.

Lol. I'm dumb and mixed things up. I have Roadgames on deck for tomorrow. Doing Rabid (Last Drive In) right now.

 

Went to see Smile 2 tonight. Lot of fun. Some cheap jump scares for sure, but there were some really creative and creepy sequences as well. Always nice to see a horror movie with some real craft and quality camerawork on display.

Haven't posted in here in a while, so I'll mention that I also watched Terrifier 3, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, It's What's Inside, and VHS Beyond. All fun! While I still don't LOVE the Terrifier series, I appreciate that each sequel has improved upon the previous one imo.

 

I didn't know there was one for Rabid either lmfao I have that on my Gore-Us list as well, so I'll be sure to do that version instead of (or with) their version of Zombie

 

I know some people will love this: the local news Halloween specials I was obsessed with as a kid finally got uploaded to YouTube :)

 

Looking like the movies for tomorrow night's TLDI Halloween Special will be Late Night With the Devil and Satan's Little Helper
