This reminds me of a guy I saw online who went on a rant about how if you reverse the latitude/longitude coordinates of some places that they wound up in Antarctica and he thought that this was evidence of 'portals'

“Well look, I was going to vote for a Democrat in 2024 but felt apprehensive about it. The Cheneys made me feel like I had permission, so now I will be voting for Kamala Harris.” doesn’t feel like an actual voter to me! In fact, the last two Dems to win presidential elections didn’t need them.

honestly, I don't think the mythical "undecided" voter even exists in the way that their strategy seems to imply that they believe it does

If my math is right, leveling two cities in Syria should balance this out. Should do three to play it safe.

I think you're underestimating how many normal people out there who might not be able to bring themselves to vote for a Dem otherwise might see prominent Republican names/party members saying they're doing it and saying fuck it if they can do it, I can do it.

Like I know that seems excruciatingly dumb to us, but something I've become more and more convinced of over the last 15+ years I started caring/paying attention to politics is that American voters do dumb things for dumb reasons, by in the tens if not hundreds of thousands if not millions lol

But yes Stewart calling them out for being waaay too over the top enthusiastic about it is good imo. Like, we get it, you've done your appearances with her, time to move on now. You don't need to close the next two weeks out focusing on Liz Cheyney.

I just read on Wikipedia that in 2016 62,984,828 American voters voted for Donald Trump for President

Doing dumb things for dumb reasons is voting because Taylor Swift said so, not because an architect of the Iraq War did

I mean maybe. I’d be down to see numbers showing the other side of that, but I’m just saying I feel like I have windows into pretty much all political stripes and haven’t heard + can’t imagine someone saying “Liz and Dick Cheney make a difference to me.”

I don't know if it would ever be just one person or name that makes the difference, but rather the avalanche of names both locally and nationally for people. Like I know Dems in Ohio were making a big deal the other day of their former Repub governor saying he's voting for Sherrod Brown. I think the idea is if they're seeing a constant stream of names they recognize as Republicans saying they're voting for the Democratic nominee, it'll get some of those folks who were maybe going to stay home or leave it blank to instead mark Harris's name. I don't know how well it's going to work but the whole democracy thing does seem to be holding some weight this election, especially with older voters.

    You're not wrong

But I one hundred percent guarantee you that the voters Dems are trying to pander to through the Cheneys think halliburton is some kinda fish.
