Watching Jason Takes Manhattan on AMC right now and was very surprised to see they totally censored out the rooftop head punch. Smh we used to be a country

I watched The Old Dark House last night for Contender's Gore-Us prompt. Pretty fun one. Kind of felt like I was watching a stage play (not a complaint). Definitely noticed a few queer themes in it.

I think I might be finished with all the prompts for Gore-Us now. Still thinking of finding something else that fits the trapped in a suburban home one better than The Burbs did. I can go with a rewach, but I'd rather do a first time watch. Couldn't find the hometown extra credit film on the internet anywhere

My wife had never seen Host so we threw that on last night. Perfect horror for her. Modern, little to no gore and supernatural. Watched The Fog(og) after and was great. Never seen the original. Was funny how many horror vets were in it and I dug the score.

    Watching Feast now

Rewatched Romulus last night. I still only have two very obvious real issues with it, but I still love it.

Now Fede just needs to incorporate story ideas intended for Ridley’s 3rd prequel into the sequel for Romulus, then even though he was kidding, it’d be awesome if he teamed up with Dan Trachtenberg for a new AvP movie that’s visible.

Feast was……ok. Very forced, cringey humor but I’m not gonna lie I did laugh at some of the dialogue. Had some decent gore/kills. Man the camera work at times was laughably bad and would love to know the budget for it.

  7. I have a soft spot for Feast. I think it hit a lot harder when it was released, definitely a product of the time it was made.

Project Greenlight Feast? I always wanted to watch that but never remember when I'm looking for something to put on.

Started The Last Drive In ep of A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night thinking I could knock out the foreign film directed by a woman for Gore-Us but now I'm learning this isn't actually an Iranian film???

Oh absolutely. She actually might like that one too. Not too gory from what I recall

I know it’s been stated by many in here but the beginning of Halloween 4 is the pinnacle of spooky fall imagery

apparently the actors were actually all English speakers who only spoke Persian for the film and then they subtitled it in English?!

I’m very intrigued to see another film of hers even if The Bad Batch was a misfire

Finally watched The Blob! The practical effects did not disappoint. I didn’t necessarily love the movie but I did like it and it was a good time.
