Well the new album hasn’t even been announced yet. They won’t start doing promo for it until they announce it. They have stopped playing the new song live. It hasn’t been played on either date of the USA tour.

whenever it is announced I’m sure we will get like a week long tease like they did for nowhere generation

Already a new album on the horizon and yet Nowhere Generation only gets the title track played at one of the shows. Album was forgotten about and I hate that. Man I love that record. Possibly because it came out during peak covid(why it’s forgotten about). At least I got to see them play Numbers, NG, Broken Dreams, and Forfeit back in 2021. Forfeit live was so good. Hearing Sudden Urge or ANY of the songs on the back half of the album would be so cool. To me it's their best "post Appeal To Reason" album by a huge margin. Hell I might even like it more than Appeal.

That is sad. NG has so many bangers on it that didn't get appreciation. The Numbers and Monarch are incredible. The Numbers should be a staple on the setlist.

And I agree. Best album since Appeal To Reason.

I'll also add that Endgame grew on me so much over the years. I remember being so underwhelmed by it for such a long time, but now I get why it's Tim's favorite Rise Against album.

Slightly off topic but this is still one of my favourite RA songs post Appeal to Reason.

Tonight’s set was solid but imo the weakest of the 3 shows so far

I really liked Nowhere Generation and agree their best since ATR. Still a great band but I can't imagine any new record yielding a bunch of new "hits" or live staples or signature songs. They are just at a different point in their career and their run in the 00s is untouchable for most fans.

This is exactly how I feel at this point as well. I know it has been said a million times already but Chris really did bring something special on lead guitar from Siren Song -> The Sufferer. I was always sad when he left as I feel there’s always been something missing there (no disrespect to Zach).

Post-Sufferer is definitely the turning point for the band, they've been extremely spotty since then

Definitely, I remember being initially disappointed by Appeal to Reason but it did grow on me pretty fast.

Zach is better live but Chris had the perfect sound for this band. Between Zach's riffs sounding more like mainstream hard rock, and Tim losing some of the grit from his voice, the resonance just hasn't been the same.
But that's okay because it all helped them reach an even higher level practically unheard of for a political band from the hardcore scene. We have the RPM through Sufferer run, with Savior as the absolute pinnacle of that progression. And every few years we get a new record to help the touring machine keep rolling, and to remind us to check in (plus relisten to Siren Song). An amazing success story from this scene.

I have to say, everything this band is and stands for is still very inspiring after all these years. Still one of my favourite bands of all time.

They definitely haven't been the same post sufferer, they were on fire. They were the main reason I was excited to go to Warped Tour 07. There is great songs scattered throughout though.

They lost their pizzazz after Sufferer. Chris only amplified what Unraveling and RPM had going. Also, Tim's vocals on those first four albums are gold standard when it comes to hardcore. He still has, what might be, my favorite vocals in rock/punk on top of already being my all time favorite lyricist.

Zach is solid and energetic, but has always been sloppy when I've seen them live. I'm happy he's there as I think he's helped this band age gracefully and try new things.

so they completely changed the plans for dropping the new album. supposedly the single isn't coming out until next year around the end of January. also they plan on making gns 2

With them not playing the new song live that makes sense. Like why stop playing it unless plans changed

An album with the same fire as the sufferer but with social commentary of the state of our country, would be so sick.

Next album is already in process so doubt anything will change because of the election. I could go for a Tim solo album filled with Dylan-like protest songs though...
