This is working out excellently as a card carrying Tuchel and England hater and United fan.

I feel that may come back to bite me when they start to actually play football but man it’s hilarious right now between England fans utterly confused and the unbelievable meltdown of United fans that want Tuchel.

The Daily Heil living up to their nickname again.

That said, I haven’t seen many England fans who actually give a shit. Seems to mostly be the awful sections of the media, like above.

Distinctly weird given England already went through the "HOW DARE YOU APPOINT A FOREIGNER" with Sven.

    hmmm

While he's still playing professional football, it seems somehow ridiculous to describe any other player as the best in the world.

Apparently Tuchel signed the deal eight days ago, before the Greece game.

Meaning Carsley knew he wasn’t getting the permanent job, and decided to try something mad to prove a point to everyone asking England to fit everyone in. I rate it.

Also, Anthony Barry as assistant coach, obviously

Which minnow country will Tuchel lose his cool against, sparking a Conte-esque scrap on the sidelines?

can’t imagine all this media handwringing would be happening if Pep took the England job

or maybe it would! I have no clue how principled any of these takes are

If Pep took the England job the handwringing would come from different quarters, because I suspect the biggest obstacle would be everything currently happening at City.

Not to mention his history of cheating/ doping allegations.

Now Tuchel is out of the running, you know who's ironing his best waistcoat to take over when ETH finally gets sacked?

With the new group in charge seemingly set to give EtH every chance they can, most likely giving him the remainder of the season or as long as they possibly can into the season, I think their goal will be trying to bring in Hoeneb from Stuttgart or someone similar in the offseason.

    It's all hell.

It was depressing in my office today how many people were actively annoyed about Tuchel being hired. It's these weird "Little Britain" xenophobic attitudes that continue to embarrass us time and time again.

I hope he does well in spite of them, (I also really, really want to win a world cup, and no dickhead gammon is going to take that from me).

The televised FA Cup first round ties have been picked. Big surprise is that MK vs Wimbledon os omitted.

My hometown has been picked in their big local derby vs Northampton, who are three levels above them.

Haven’t really mentioned them until now, but my hometown club, Kettering Town FC, are making some waves in non-league football this year.

Historically a fifth division club, they suffered successive relegations and the loss of their stadium just over a decade ago, but they’re actually a notable club. Record goalscorers in the FA Cup, the first ever club to have a shirt sponsor, and their former managers include Ron Atkinson and Paul Gascoigne.

Anyway, they got purchased recently by owners who want to get them to the EFL, and they are currently top of their section of the sixth tier. They took a big punt this season on former PL player Nile Ranger. He ruined his career by getting involved on gang violence, armed robbery, and fraud, but now apparently gives talks to youth footballers about not wasting your talent and the importance of keeping your head straight, he’s also playing really well and scoring basically every game.

Would be nice for a town that has suffered immensely in recent years to have something to feel good about.

No offense, but I always die a little inside when someone assumes ß is just a fancy B. It's actually a sharp s sound and you can substitute it with ss in writing.

There were rumours that United tried to get Hoeneß in the summer already but he turned them down apparently.

Thought I had the right character selected on my keyboard but it defaulted to a regular b. Learned that plenty of years ago thanks to Sebastian’s uncle. Just didn’t double check or make sure I had it right.

Just seen Raul Jimenez scored again. Great to see him continue his goal scoring form. One of them guys that everyone wants to succeed.
