I think there are too many echoes to fit on a screen like that. Which is why, I assume, they allow you to select an echo in the pause menu.

How so? Each row is just like the single row you have now, just with much shorter lists. You would still be able to scroll left and right on each row.

Then I don’t really see any difference between this and just going through the pause menu then.

Less scrolling between menus. Echoes is not the default menu when I press start

Just beat Echoes of Wisdom in about 40 hours or so.

Feels like the best of Link’s Awakening and A Link Between Worlds.

    I loved it.

I just finished the main story as well. As a 2D Zelda I’d give it a 8.5/10. I think the dungeons in this game are some of the best since Skyward Sword. The gameplay did kind of get repetitive though. While fighting the final boss I was just running around and casting echoes the whole time while Link was jumping, swinging his sword, shooting arrows, etc. I wish they would have let Zelda keep the weapons for the final fight

    The final boss fight sucks.

In an easy way, or painfully disappointing way?

Apparently I didn't echo the moving tiles in the Gerudo dungeon and I'm pissed lol would have been really helpful now that I'm back in the castle

I thought it was lackluster in a disappointing way. It was fairly easy though but I didn’t have a problem with the difficulty level.

Just pretty boring. You are very inactive in it.

So Zelda returning to her status quo, eh?

Did anyone else think the Zora dungeon was a cake walk compared to Gerudo? Felt very short and the boss was extremely easy to beat

I felt like every boss was easy and every dungeon (aside from lanaryu) was easy. Usually in Zelda games I have to constantly look at a walkthrough. I barely looked at any for this game.

That's what I love about it. Other Zelda games have extremely complicated puzzles that I can't figure out so I give up lol. Other than botw

In terms of ranking with other 2D Zelda’s I’ve beaten I would place it:

    1) Link’s Awakening (remake) 9/10
    2) Minish Cap 8.8/10
    3) Echoes of Wisdom 8.5/10

A Link To The Past is easily my favorite 2D Zelda.

Echoes is one of my least favorite. If I bothered to rank them, it may be last even. Part of the reason is I don’t see myself replaying it maybe ever. Too many parts were tedious in the first play through, that will be amplified on a replay. With the final boss fight being severely underwhelming, I can’t even look forward to a satisfying ending.

The game is gorgeous and there are some cool puzzles where you need to figure out the best echo. But there’s just not enough greatness to warrant going back.

I think platformers are among my absolute favorite games so that also has to do with my love for it. Mario Odyssey and BOTW are tied for my favorite game.

Completed all of the dojo trainings last night. The final reward being a green tunic is neat. Didn’t think they’d have that in this game.

I’ve now completed everything I can (except getting all of the might crystals which I’m not going to do). I’ve got all the heart pieces, completed all side quests, upgraded all weapons to the max, and collected all the echoes.

Surprised there wasn’t anything in the game that let you be Sheik. She hasn’t been in a Zelda game since ocarina of time.
