insane to think half a year ago I walked right up to the front of her set weekend 1 of Coachella like 10 minutes before she started

 

Announcing a 3.5 week tour with the first date less than a month away is nasty work.

 

Chappell is absolutely an arena act at this point but I truly hope she takes a long break and comes back with new music first. Touring the same record for 3yrs can be draining.

 

Life insurance should be a requirement for these because people are gonna get hurt big time

 

Kendrick STADIUM tour next summer?

 

I'm pretty sure she's gonna be focusing on writing until next summer, but I imagine whatever shows she does want to do will get announced fairly far ahead of time so we can't let our guards down yet, haha.

 

god I really fucked up not seeing him on the big steppers tour when he added a date at the minor league hockey arena near me that seats like 9,000

 

Wanted to shoutout the matinee Vampire Weekend show yesterday and MSG and how awesome it was to get home at 4:45 after a concert. Matinee shows definitely gotta become a thing, particularly with acts that have audiences that skew 30+.

 

According to that report that came out yesterday he(and Rihanna) turned down headliner spots at Coachella

 

glad people enjoy this but def not for me. granted, I’m over 30 but don’t have the responsibilities of child care so this truly does not appeal to me.

there’s something about leaving a show with a buzz in the night air when you and you friends are trying to find you way to the afters.

If it ever became a "normal" thing it would be such a bummer. And, TBH, I don't really ever see it happening simply because people would be less inclined to run up a bar tab. Every now and again though, it might be a nice treat. Haha.

But I do think a lot of shows could start earlier... I saw Nada Surf this weekend. It was a two-band bill that started at 8:30 and ended at 11:15 which there's absolutely no need for. A 7:30 start with the show ending at 10:15 would have felt perfect. It's just an hour but it would have made a big difference as far as how tired my partner was on the drive home. LOL

They sold out 10 nights at Wembley Stadium way in advance for next summer beating the previous record of 7 nights there which the record at the time was held by Taylor Swift!

 

They’re also playing the 550-capacity Music Hall of Williamsburg in NYC tonight for a private Sirius show
