Started playing OoT this morning. Going through all 5 of the 3D console Zeldas before BotW comes out. I decided to play them chronologically even though that means I'm pretty much playing my favorite to least favorite. Though I'm actually pretty stoked about SS, I've only played it once and that was 5 years ago

 

Great game, and my favorite use of amiibo

 

Nice haul, I don't think the WiiU drought will be an issue for you. That should keep you busy until the Switch comes out.

 

I probably wouldn't buy a Switch for a few years if I get it at all. This is the first Nintendo console I have had since the Nintendo 64, and I only played Goldeneye on that. I have a ton of Virtual Console games to go through first. I still have not moved to the PS4 from the PS3, and then so many PC games.

 

I bought a Wii U about a year ago and I think I've played it like twice. But that's more because of my two year old and my situation than anything else. Basically we turn the tv off when he goes to bed because he can see it from his room. And trying to play while he's awake just leads to him turning it off. I wanted to take advantage of that target sale but totally forgot. I can't wait for the switch though because I can play while he's asleep with that little screen

 

Have you played the N64 Zelda games?

 

I played Ocarina of Time over the summer. If Majora's Mask ever comes out on Virtual Console, I will play it too.

 

One of the main reasons why I love the WiiU. I can do off tv play for most games why my kids watch Saturday morning cartoons

 

Right on. If you have any plans of getting a 3ds in the future, I would hold off on MM until then. Its the definitive version

 

My hope is that the Switch will combine the handheld and console Virtual Consoles. Otherwise, I might get a 2DS one day since they are so cheap and there are so many DS/3DS games to play.

Is that the NES Classic?! I'm waiting for Target to open so I can go get one.

 

I don't have much interest in the NES mini (I would rather use Virtual Console), but that super-short controller cable seems like a colossally dumb idea.

 

My wife is Best Buy now(1.5 hours before open) and she probably wont get one. Too many people in line compared to what they have..............:/

 

Yeah, I'm hoping some third party can make an wireless adapter for it. We'll see .

 

I was too late. Stores out here only got six consoles.

 

So I decided not to give up. I'm waiting outside GameStop. This old guy in line is talking about how Ocarina of Time is the best videogame of all time. Amen dude.

 

I'm now outside a GameStop as well because I had nothing better to do. Still doubt I'll get one.

 

Is there a big line? I've got five people in front of me. Supposedly the place has 13. Sounds like I may not be able to get the extra controller.

I'm lucky because where Im from not a lot of people were aware that it was releasing today so I was able to grab it early. But it did run out at least half an hour after I bought mine.

Ugh, I feel like Nintendo always understocks their consoles, which sucks because scalpers. I read on reddit that some guy was allowed to buy all 6 copies from one retailer. Ridiculous.

I hope Ninty releases another batch asap. they weren't selling extra controllers which is annoying.

I was 12 and they had 6. Bummer. Prob 17 ppl in line total there. My wife was 14 and they had 13. Mega bummer.

 

Am I going to run into this issue with Switch release or will pre-ordering help me sidestep that?
