It was an amazing game. The Miami V Tech rivalry was awesome 15 or so years ago. Felt like those days.

 

Used to be one of my favorites!

 

I’ll always hate Virginia tech because they had a 2 for 1 deal with western Michigan and we did the away game against Mike Vick and then they were supposed to come to Kalamazoo but Vick went pro and va tech bought out the remaining games.

instead I saw Jim tressell get stomped while coaching Youngstown state

 

Not really the same, but I’ll always be mad about that 2000 season opener GT v VT game being canceled due to lightning and GT refusing the rescheduled game that December proposed by VT.

Both teams coming off seasons where they were 1 (VT) and 2 (GT) in total offense and what would have been my first glimpse at a George Godsey led offense but not getting it at all bc O’Leary was a baby bc it “didn’t fit the criteria for why he wanted to play it in the first place” anymore.

 

God how much does Purdue suck that they aren't being televised when UTEP and UNI were lol

 

Has nothing to do with them sucking and has everything to do with the Big Ten/Peacock deal. Some of the more interesting games of the day are always on Peacock which is kind of dumb. Like Louisville/Notre Dame today is on Peacock instead of NBC which makes zero sense.

 

Oh I didn't even think to check peacock lol

 

Prime example of why NBC putting all these games on Peacock is dumb lol

 

I think Ole Miss will win this game, but going up against a team with an actual defense makes it so much more hilariously obvious how much stat padding Ole Miss did for their offensive stars in the first four games of the season.
