    • Origami Angel -- Emo pop-punk. This is what sugar sounds like. I enjoy the lyrics
    • BAND-MAID -- Ridiculously catchy all-female J-rock
    • Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows (D.R.U.G.S.) -- Objectively bad post-hardcore that I listen to
    • Rain City Drive -- Objectively good post-hardcore that I listen to
    • The Black Dahlia Murder -- Melodeath. Their irreplaceable vocalist passed away and the band's guitarist has taken over vocal duties. I don't know how to feel about this album.
    • Pale Waves -- 90's alt rock infused pop rock. Very good.
    • Heriot -- Super heavy metalcore with a doom sprinkle.
    • Cyborg Octopus -- Extreme prog. Thrash, death, sax, jazz, keyboards, harsh vox, clean vox... this album has kind of everything? Their last albums was excellent
    • Warlust -- Thrash-y black metal or black thrash? I dunno, but it's enjoyable!
    • Lizzard -- Heavy prog. A melting pot of Muse, late period Thrice, & Steven Wilson.
    • Ripped to Shreds -- Asian-themed death metal. Pretty great!
    • The Flight of Sleipnir -- Epic, atmospheric black metal
    • As Living Arrows -- Screamo
    • Ingurgitating Oblivion -- Progressive death metal

I’ve been waiting for four years for this one. As good as I expected. “Ever After” stopped me dead in my tracks this morning.

LOL gave me a good chuckle this morning. Your lists with the descriptions and comments are the best in a thread of excellent recommendations.

My new single & official music video for 'Seasonal Traditions' is out now!

Thank you in advance to those who check this out. This song is special to me on many levels. To top it off my 10-year-old daughter learning a guitar part I wrote and performing along with me in the video is something beyond words. She is the true rockstar!

My friend just posted in discord about that show that it’s not selling well lol. I was like, why are you even going? And she’s like because of the local bands that I’m friends with LOL

Damn, that's a shame. Last time I saw Rookie of the Year, it was with Sherwood in Dallas. I think there were about 25-50 people there. The lead singer of RotY was in the crowd after the show handing out CD's and saying they needed gas money, asking for literally a dollar or more. I felt bad and gave him $10 for two CD's and gave one to my friend that was there with me. One of my saddest concert memories.

I was not surprised when Sherwood toured again that they didn't come to Dallas. Hopefully it's at least not a repeat of that!

Young Statues released their first new song in a million years!!

The DRUGS line is fucking hilarious, because I agree & will never stop listening.
Pale Waves should be huge, that band is incredible.

I think a lot of people here would enjoy Career Day. RIYL the Tony Hawk Pro Skater soundtracks, & people with critical/cynical outlooks about western civilization & societal norms
