They said last night that Writing on the Walls has consistently been the most voted for song for all shows. So expect to see that as the closer every night.
When the Sun Sleeps was cool to see considering they rarely played it and are going to retire it this year.
But I want to know who the heck is voting for 10 friends?

Someone on their Reddit commented they were waiting for their email to "make sure 10 Friends gets heard".

My buddy was at one of the NY shows and I guess Aaron asked the crowd to raise their hand if they voted and less than 100 people raised them and he was all “Well fuck me” bummer for them because I think the band and the die hard were psyched and it isn’t working out that way. IMO they should call an audible and have the band throw in two deep cuts and then do the hits that get voted every night.

Manually throw in some Diambiguation songs, justice for Tim!

they should really just block off songs like Writing on the Walls and In Regards to Myself as guaranteed plays - that way they can add the other, more variable songs to the setlist. either that or the fans who vote just have a more predictable taste in songs.

I did get a video of When The Sun Sleeps at the Connecticut show. Came out surprisingly good considering my phone isn't anything super fancy

Realistically though if everybody that bought a ticket voted then I bet you’re ever so inviting probably doesn’t make the cut and it becomes breathing in a new mentality or some other staple.

i too am surprised how many people are voting for 10 friends though. Good song but not something I’d expect the casuals to know or care about. At least it’s new to set lists.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

It would be me because I think it’s one of their best songs from that era. But I saw that earlier this year they were playing that song more as part of the actual album.

  12. Hopefully it gets me more excited for the album like Damn Excuses did back then. I do like Teeth but I got the impression it was an outlier more than anything truly representative of the new album’s sound.

art direction crushing as always. Is the album called locus ultra? into it. betting this will be a heavy ripper. one single a month and a December / January release would rule.

I think Survivors Guilt will turn people around after the mixed reception of Teeth (still not my fave)

People are speculating it's an album title but I'm not sure where it originated from.

    Are You Watching Closely?

My shows still almost 2 months away, how are they sounding?

    Regular

locus ultra in latin roughly translates to "room beyond" ... so "the place after this one" fits with that

Apparently the thread about Survivors Guilt on the band's Reddit got taken down because someone got mad the news leaked.

I’m sure other bands do it, but touring an album anniversary while simultaneously teasing your new album/releasing songs is a little odd of a strategy.

Ima keep it a buck… I doubt they’re even taking in account the voting that was done and that was just for show/to sell tickets.

Idk, I think it actually makes pretty good sense in principle. The weird part is underoath in particular are pretty quick to get new stuff out of their setlists and I’d imagine 60% of the fans there will not listen more than once.
