Shame we couldn’t get the win I felt that we deserved for our efforts and defending. But we just did Spurs away without our first-choice midfield, and City away without our best player and only 10 men. And we got four points. That’s very good in my books.

We’ll beat them at home again.

I need to check a few things, but I’m using my free hit… I managed to get almost exactly the same amount of points I would have with my normal squad.

Fun stat from the City - Arsenal game: Havertz is the first player in 7 years to play 90 minutes and complete 0 passes.

Rumours Rodri has torn his ACL? That’s a season ender if so.

Looked like a nasty knee injury when I saw the replay. Gonna need the rest of the midfield to stay fit in order to keep it up this season.

Yellow but totally worth it from a humor perspective

It’s actually a red in most leagues. Jordi Alba got sent off for doing that over his shoulder on the side line once.

No card. His big head got in the way as he was throwing the ball towards the halfway line

I just ran into former French international and Lyon star Bafetimbi Gomis in a Starbucks in Tokyo. I was a big fan when I was younger. He’s playing for Yokohama now. Crazy.

I’d be pissed too if Gabriel Jesus at left back was enough to pocket me.

It’s actually interesting to see how rattled City are by how we had to play with 10 men. They want teams to play like Spurs and get obliterated by them out of some sense of aesthetic obligation.

Instead, we defended well, were strong, and they only got a goal through a deflection. They looked genuinely clueless for parts of that half and it’s got to them.

My absolute favourite thing is teams getting salty when other teams don't play into their hands. Klopp used to make stupid comments about it all the time, every time it was hilarious. Mourinho had the best response about it when United played Ajax in the Europa League - literally said if we tried to go toe to toe on the ground, we'd get spanked, so went to long ball over their press and came back with the trophy.

Some more hilarious salty Bernardo comments here too -

For as good as he is, Haaland is the easiest to rattle player in the league atm.

I hope he/City stay humble if they get found guilty for 115 charges.

  24. I feel like now that it happened to City, there’s going to be some new rule about contact with the keeper on corners.

I know what you mean, but what can you rule out? Standing? We were very clever in that we didn’t grab, didn’t tussle, we just stood in place. Ederson was just weak.
