Also, this image is peculiar. Looks like an episode (or episodes) will be in Seattle?

Holy shit, my wife just scored us tickets to the final taping of season 2 tomorrow on my birthday. What a wonderful surprise!

The first two episodes of season two are hilarious. I love these characters.

Both eps were great. Freddy's really come into his own and Eve is so much fun.

Such easy, feel-good viewing for half an hour.

Just started watching the original run for the first time and I love it!

I also have a crush on Daphne, Roz, AND Lilith.

Awesome! Early-mid-run Frasier is peak television imo

Frasier (original run) seasons 1-8ish is the warm blanket of television.

Did this show jump the shark? I've watched all of it, but I remember the last couple of seasons not being too great.

Yeah. The show notably had a substantial dip in quality after season 7.

    In my opinion:

    Season 8 is alright.

    9 and 10 aren’t super great.

11 is alright too. Not on par with the first few seasons, but the show redeems itself a bit, imo. Save for a few episodes

I'm glad this new run fits into the world nicely, and is a nice compliment/epilogue to the original run.

There's so many reviews/talk about it "not being as good as the original" but did we ever expect it to be? I don't even think the creators expected that. It's a nice addition that's meant to be enjoyed, not meant to be better or take away from the original series. People are dumb.

8 and 9 are the weakest (8 being the "worst"). 10 comes up a little. 11 is honestly a top 5 season of the show.

And even with the dip in quality its still better than 95% of other shows

New episode was nice. Eve's such a great character, and I didn't expect such a sweet moment from Alan.

This show is an easy heart-warmer. Nothing groundbreaking, but what it is works.

Damn, the finale was great. Very heartwarming. I love these characters and I hope we get a season three.

I still haven’t been able to watch the new season, but the taping I attended back in July was the season finale and I loved it. I can’t wait to actually watch the finished product

Well, I finished the original run last night and cried, then watched the first episode of the revival today and cried at the John Mahoney tribute.

Feels so weird to know that I’ll never again see a new episode of Frasier with him in it. Really bums me out and makes me wish I lived closer to my parents.

As for the original run, y’all were right that season 8 was a noticeable dip. Hated the Fat Daphne storyline and most of the side characters introduced in the last 4 seasons. Seasons 10 and 11 were pretty good though, the highlight of season 10 being the hospital episode. Damn good TV right there.

Really really loved the show overall. It was a warm blanket I watched nearly every day for 2 full months and I’m going to miss it when I get through the revival. Yes, I can revisit it any time, but I’ll nary be surprised in the same way.

I am excited to show my family some of my favorite episode over Christmas though. We’re all going to enjoy “High Holidays.”

Great write-up. While I don’t enjoy seasons 8-11 as much as the earlier seasons, there are a few gems in there.

We Two Kings is a favorite of mine and one I watch every year around Christmas. High Holidays is also a banger

High Holidays is wonderful. The two-part Maris episode is one of my favorites too. "I was punched in the face by a man now dead" is one of my favorite (and most quoted) gags in any show.
