Weird Al's big tours are some of the best out there, would highly recommend people go if you haven't!

 

Yikes @ Puddles. That would be a late arrival for me any day of the week.

 

He hasn't done a full production/parody hits tour since 2016 so this is a must see. The past two Originals/Deep Cuts tours were phenomenal.

 

So Weird Al is my never meet your heroes guy. Few years ago I was working for the 501st legion for a weird al show and after the show there was pics with weird Al and the stormtroopers for his vip ticket holders.

During the meet n greet he is all smiles and being this big personality. This one girl in her 20’s painting him this beautiful picture of him and gave it to him.

the session is over, he looks at his handlers “what the hell am i supposed to do with this?” And kind tossed it aside. I had helped move all the stormtroopers into position etc and I asked him if I could get a pic with him real quick and he kinda huffed and did it and signed a weird al baseball card for me and asked him if I could sign another for my wife (gf at the time) and he was like “so you can sell it on the internet”

part of my childhood died that day.

 

I met Weird Al when he hosted a free screening of Raising Arizona at UCB Sunset and he took the time to meet and shake everyone’s hands after the movie was over

 

I met Weird Al in 2015 after his show. It was quick, but he was super nice.

 

I saw Weird Al at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical interference,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

 

He did that orchestra tour in 2019, if that counts

 

He's not wrong. Why fans think a celebrity wants drawings and paintings of themselves has never made sense to me.

I worked a meet and greet with The Struts many years ago, one person who is a big fan brought this 3 by 2 feet glass frame with a bunch of pictures in it from the band that the fan took of them live and pictures of him and his family with the band, it was very heavy. I have no idea where that frame went but I was like "why would you give him that? Why does he want a frame of a bunch of pics with this fan that doesn't know who they are?"

Went to a convention last weekend to meet Tom Kenny (voice of SpongeBob). Guy brought an impressive piece of hand carved wood artwork to get signed. He then said he made another piece to give to him. Tom didn’t accept - he demanded to pay for it and use it as a gift for his agent. That’s how you handle that and look like a saint

Cheapest tickets to the LA Deftones shows are $100. Yeesh

 

Deftones at Wells Fargo in Philly is pretty much sold out. Just a few platinum insanely priced tickets left

 

I saw Matchbox 20 tonight in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, and Rob said tonight was their last show of this current touring cycle and they'd be taking a break from touring for a bit.
