My goal is to watch at least one new horror movie in October.

 

Watched You'll Never Find Me last night. Definitely a good option if you love unrelenting tension. Not totally sure I feel it sticks the landing, but the journey is good.

 

The ending is actually what I liked most about that one, haha. I struggled with all of the nihilistic monologues and blank-stare deliveries. Some of the same problems I had with Longlegs, actually

 

Yeah, I'm undecided but could be swayed either direction tbh

 

My local Cinemark has 2 showings for the substance, one at 11 am and one at 9 pm. Lame.

Still not huge on body horror and I'm trying to figure out which Cronenberg to watch. I want to do something more horrory than Crash.

Honestly feel like if any horror series can pull of that "feel," it would be this one. Kind of excited to see how they use it

IAVN is certainly brutal but idk if I’d consider it body horror. AFAIK body horror is more reserved to biological stuff and not just mangled victims

edit: point being it’s definitely valid to be able to handle one and not that other lol

 

The IAVN kill was borderline silly so it didn't really bother me that much. While I liked The Fly, The Brood, and Scanners, body horror is more disturbing to me than the ultra-violence.
