Apparently there is gonna be big Amity Affliction drama this week, Ahren is gonna announce his new band No Funeral and rumblings that he won’t be playing those final Amity dates after all.

No Funeral is kind of an apt name

People were just incredibly rude last night, just a roar of people talking through Kevin's whole set. I've never heard it like that before.

I’m not a huge KD fan but I loved how well he got into the performance and didn’t let the crowd get to him too much.

I've heard idiots talking throughout City and Colour's acoustic headlining show in Oakland. It took so much willpower not to yell at them. Especially since they were right behind me. Who goes to a show to have crazy long conversations during the sets?

30STM is dismal in terms of sales but if there were strong concession sales maybe the show was still profitable.

  8. I'd say you're right because going to a 30STM show without copious amounts of alcohol sounds like a form of torture that should be outlawed by the geneva convention

Merriweather is nice for what it is (pretty setting, food/drink/life nearby), but it is such a pain to get to from both cities it draws from (probably easier from Baltimore).

At a Weezer show tonight that sold out 2 nights at the DC 6k venue after they played Merriweather last year. Seeing The National at Merriweather tomorrow a year after they also sold out 2 nights at this same venue (the one I went to was one of my favorite shows last year).

Word is that the Jane's Addiction tour is completely cancelled to be announced tomorrow (today technically I guess). Dave quit the tour (maybe the band too) on Friday and flew home same night, rest of the band and crew flew home Sunday.

The Atlanta crowd was horrible overall, but especially during Kevin's set. It was a huge bummer, and it definitely affected him. He was talking shit to the crowd throughout. Saying things like "Why did you pay as much as you paid to be here just to stand and talk?" and "Thanks, to those of you that actually listened."

He looked in a bad mood as soon as he hit the stage.

The girls next to me scream talked through his entire set and had the audacity to clap and cheer when he told that Elliott smith (I think?) story that mentions “why spend $20 to stand in a room and talk?”

was at the frank turner / bridge city sinner show this weekend and Bedouin Soundclash opened the show, and that guy was super insecure at the lack of uproarious applause they were getting. they would finish a song, the crowd would clap and woot but then fall silent becasue they were tuning or whatever and he got real weird about it, haha, like he was expecting us to just be going crazy for him non stop

I've seen Bedouin Soundclash a number of times and that's just his sense of humor. Very self-deprecating. I've seen him with a dead crowd before and he ate it up.

Were you standing on the right over towards the bar? A group of girls near me did the same thing at that point and one of them shouted "I've waited 20 years to see this band, boo hoo nobody gives a fuck who you are"

no we were pretty much dead center, right in front of andrew about halfway to the board.

what a gross fucking thing to say to a performer though, jesus lol.

That's a bummer. Atlanta is my show market and I've never really had a bad time at any venue, especially the Tabernacle. What made the crowd so bad for this one? I almost went to this show but decided to cut it last minute after a friends review of SC being meh compared to other Andrew projects.

Someone on Reddit said that a Detroit radio station announced the tour was cancelled this morning. I guess they were gonna do a ticket giveaway, but it’s now off the table

The crowd was great during SoCo (which is, imo, Andrew's best project by far). But they were complete trash during KevDev (and I'm not even a KevDev fan). I was by the sound board on the left side and only heard people talking. I maybe heard 1/3 of his set. I think he was the wrong booking to open the show in general, but I don't know that I saw a single person singing along to any of his songs where I was.
