It's as if the community there is segregated.....

 

I've only been a CA resident for a year now, but I'm pretty excited to see how she does in the Senate.

Obama didn't come out of nowhere in '08. He gave a great speech at '04 DNC that was met with huge applause. He was pretty much hypothesized to be the next great Dem nominee even while Kerry was campaigning.

 

I think I'm missing your point. Being looked down on if said individual isn't white is racism, but when the patrolling officer tells us we should high tail it to Beale Street and leave our vehicle, which was just involved in a fender bender, I should be thankful of my white privilege?

 

Maybe "nowhere" is the wrong word. I mean in the sense that most in 08 thought it was a foregone conclusion for HRC, but then Iowa happened. And a huge movement coalesced around him when people didn't think that he would win the Presidency THAT year. But again, I was 12. so. haha

Yeah, he was following us around all night, making sure we were alright. Or possibly could've been that we were just in an accident within walking distance of the Pyramid and there were officers directing the traffic that were close enough to come help.

i'm going to a basketball game on friday and i don't know what to do about the anthem. i can not bring myself to stand and support the anthem of a country that i do not currently want to support the leadership of

any suggestions? do i just sit?

 

not 100% of the time, but 100% more than it happens to white people
