  1. Yeah, I think that + Martin O'Malley and maybe John Hickenlooper (although the far left will hate him) are who I would expect to show up. I don't know who else is on the bench. Dems just got destroyed across the board. There's no like secret weapon coming out of no where with a grassroots campaign person right now.

  2. At this point what if she just loses to fucking Curt Shilling anyway? Maybe I wouldn't be surprised at what a popular racist can do.

I guess we just have to fucking pray we see someone come out of nowhere again like Obama in 08. But you're much older than me, and maybe I'm being too optimistic/idealistic.

  6. I feel like RT Rybak could excite people but I also wonder how successful a white male nominee can be moving forward

  7. I think Curt is far enough removed from current Boston culture that he'd still lose, but Bill Belichick could admit to murder and I have no doubt he'd win whatever office he ran for.

Could Sanders possibly win if he ran in 2020? I feel like it'd be a complete toss-up. Between "Hillary failed us and we need to move further left and you were the most promising candidate last year who got screwed", and "well you failed us last time so why bother with the energy on you again".

I think they need to go younger too if they want younger voters. Bernie was exciting but in a general I just don't know

His age is a factor for the next election. He will be 79 at that point.

  19. all the reports I saw say that it was unrelated to protests. still terrifying though.

  20. I like Kamala Harris out of California if I'm honest. But that's probably a reach.

I was just thinking about how Booker played college football and it was making me think about the importance of broad and relatable "humanizing" characteristics in a national election. Seems to me that Hillary's humanizing characteristics (such as they were, fair or not) didn't play well with anyone who wasn't in her corner already. Not getting into the merits (or lack thereof) of that, but it's an interesting thought when thinking about viable candidates. I think of it in terms of Obama, never underestimate the cool-ass-motherfucker factor haha.

  23. seeing this getting shared around and I know that it's technically true, but does anyone think it's worth actually devoting energy to?

  24. I think he should run even though he's going to be pretty old. I think those that sat out should vote for him and get behind him. And I think he will get beat. But that's my cynical take a day after the election. I think he's the easiest candidate that's floated for Trump to beat, because he won't hold back. "Commie Bernie" will bury him in the states he just won IMO.

I don't see a California senator being relatable to Florida , Ohio , Penn just because of the west coast factor. Also that only brings along states that will already go blue
