I worked a few dates on the tour in ‘05 for a well known label and we made about $10K a day between selling sampler CD’s and $5 raffle tickets for a signed drum head daily.

I saw someone talking about this tour and how usually when Perry goes on tour his wife goes with him and keeps him in check, but because she is working on a project in South America she isn’t on this run with him and well we see how that turned out.

 

I think they also mentioned in the book The Offspring and Dropkick Murphy’s were the highest paid bands in 2005. $17k a gig I think?

 

It's just sad to see, this late on in his career, such a mindless, undignified, and downright embarrassing spectacle, sabotaging the very artistic values he's espoused his whole career.

NO ONE wants to see Dave Navarro wearing a top.

 

Never really been a JA fan but I gotta ask my uncle for his thoughts about this the next time I see him. He was their buddy and drum tech back in the old days. Wonder if he has any insight into that relationship

I don’t buy her statement at all. I can’t help but feel that something is really wrong with Perry and she’s just trying to cover it.

I hope he gets help. Everyone else in the band were champs for how they handled it

He’s been adding for 40+ years and it’s finally catching to him likely combined with other health issues. Real shame because, from the videos I’ve seen, the BAND seems to be playing great.

Oh yeah they’ve been killing it from what I’ve been seeing. They’ve slowly been having a good comeback, lots of hype, Eric back in the band… and then that. It’s sad

 

I saw them in 2022 w/Eric but without Dave and they were good. Perry's vocals have never been able to recapture his late 80's/early 90's magic in terms of singing on that range but his overall presence and vibe was pretty positive. I imagine he's still trying to party like he's in his 20's while starting to face actual health issues (tinnitus, dementia, etc)

 

Yeah I saw them on that same tour and they ripped. It was legitimately one of the greatest live sets I’ve ever seen, period.

 

Went to a Swemo Night in AC after Adjacent Fest and it honestly wasn't terrible. Swift music made my wife happy, everything else made me happy.

 

At the SoCo show in Orlando and Kevin Devine is such a weird choice of an opener. It’s so awkward when there’s an acoustic opener and whenever they play quiet you can hear the crowd talking even more.

I wish we got Allister instead.

 

Bridgeport Jane's Addiction show cancelled for tomorrow night.

 

I'll be honest, Im considering going to the one in Vegas if I dont get a ticket for The Used sideshow. Seems like a fun time
