Damn RIP, but 93 is a hell of a run.

 

Whenever an iconic SW actor or really any actor passes away, I always hope they realize how special and important their roles were to people. It’s why I’m so glad Carrie was able to see the response to Force Awakens and how much she was appreciated before her passing. James Earl Jones has been beloved for so long and rightfully so that I have no doubt he knew how much we as fans thought of him and how special he was. RIP.

 

Finished Outlaws last night. Really enjoyed the ending and some of the reveals. Definitely had a ton of fun with it and would definitely recommend it.

 

I watched Episode One with my 7 year old nephew last week. He asked a lot of questions, and honestly most of the time I could have just answered "because this movie is stupid and doesn't make any sense" but I didn't want to taint his SW journey. He loved the podracing tho lol

podracing and duel of the fates about the only things saving that movie. that said, when it came out I was obsessed with it and I attribute it to starting my absolute love of Star Wars

TPM is a good movie and makes perfect sense.

 

So many conflicting thoughts, but these race for supremacy: based choice to put the first film you appeared in as your #1, even more based choice to not put The Last Jedi up there, but the real hot take is putting Attack of the Clones above that, the original film, and Return of the Jedi.

She's six months younger than me, the perfect age to think that Clones ruled when it came it out. Glad she has hung onto that opinion even if I haven't.

 

AOTC had a lot of potential. It just had poor delivery on every concept other than the Kenobi/Fett stuff.

If Lucas gave his outline/notes to someone else it could have been special.

 

Attack of the Clones is worse than Rise of Skywalker.

AOTC is just a shit movie. TROS is a shit movie that also spits in the face of the whole saga and easily has the worst story writing of any SW movie.

 

TROS is the worst to me as it was such a massive disappointment and failure on many levels. AOTC is easily the worst of the prequels, but was never this massive failure to me. I was young enough to like it upon release. Despite growing to view it for the boring slog most of it is, I didn’t leave the theater depressed like I did with TROS. I can see an argument that AOTC is worse in that it was directed worse than TROS. But TROS is an abomination and it will infuriate me more than Lucas’s failures.

 

So do people think that Peridea is the same planet as the Mortis arc?

 

Not even a little bit personally. But that’s just my feeling and I definitely don’t have anything to back it up. Lol
