That’s fair but if the band really wants to usher in a new era and insist they’re not looking to replace Chester - they should just go with a female vocalist that’s really strong in their craft.. but I get what you’re saying.

I just wish that Emily was stronger in her ability to do LP songs (judging off the livestream) but maybe she will get better when the tour starts.. andddd obviously not associated with anything Scientology related

Oh I completely and utterly agree they band can and should do whatever makes them happy, I just personally would prefer a different direction. Fully aware what I think doesn't actually matter haha

Just from a performance standpoint, I think it’s almost borderline unfair for them to debut her with a full-on concert. Like, that’s so rough to do, especially when it’s inevitable that she was gonna get shit for being a woman replacing a man, especially a singular talent like Chester.

Thinking about it more, I have to think that if they knew, they probably thought it could be downplayed like someone like Beck (before he, I think, left the church) or Elisabeth Moss where most people know they’re Scientologists, but we, including myself and others on this site, look away because they’re so talented and interesting performers and, as far as we know, haven’t harassed survivors of their cult.

The Bixlers and all they’ve gone through make this way more complicated because of her past gross behavior. You just can’t look past it like you can with someone like Tom Cruise, who kind of learned to shut up about their grosser practices when he railed against psychiatry and medicine two decades ago.

Like others have said, it’s kind of crazy that LP has not released a statement. An IG post is not enough.

I have to believe they'll release a statement tomorrow. If they don't they're idiots.

Saying there are several low key Scientology members in LA is a massive understatement. It’s not even open secret level. It’s very “I’m telling you something and you can’t tell anyone under any circumstances” and then the person tells you the name of a famous musician that’s a die hard. I know of at least a few cases where people credit Scientology with getting them off drugs. It’s a terrible situation. And it probably benefits Scientology that so many of these members won’t be public about it because they can be sneakier about their indoctrination tactics.
They’ll also host a lot of events and classes for the arts that you don’t find out are linked to Scientology until you get there. They’re unfortunately incredibly smart about their recruitment

even before all this i wish they reunited under a different name, especially since rob isn’t a part of it and brad isn’t touring. but i kind of get it. what sells more records and tickets: the linkin park brand name, or a new offshoot of it.

Thinking about how it's entirely possible Limp Bizkit might become the least problematic nu-metal band.

God fucking dammit, I actually forgot all about that time he tried to move to Crimea and got banned by Ukraine.

But that was like ten years ago, is he really pro-Russia still? Like at this very moment?

Who is left? Aaron Lewis is a Republican asshole, David Draiman is at best extremely ignorant about Gaza, Deftones has a flat earther, SOAD has another Trumper...

    Korn is still fine, right?

I think a lot of people go expecting to network and then get roped in. I don’t think there are many people involved who are just trying to get to “the top.” They’re crafty as hell at picking out vulnerabilities

I wouldn't really consider them a nu-metal band. Their "heaviest" material was on their first album, and they only got softer from there.

They're really more akin to Incubus, albeit less "alternative" and more "meat and potatoes", if you follow me.

Wait, I got it. Papa Roach. Jacoby especially is, or at least appears to be by all accounts, a good dude. Cannot think of one problematic thing about them.
