Bernie is probably ready to go back to being an independent and/or working on getting more social democrats in office.

 

Lots of poor/working class people aspire to the American Dream and genuinely believe one day they'll be rich and when that day comes, they certainly don't want to give it to the government

Like the amount of articles shared on Facebook where the headline begins with "BREAKING:" and it's something utterly ridiculous and false.

Facebook is partly at fault for allowing parody news articles to trend with real news.

 

I think all the factors that people are mentioning all play apart in why he got elected - white supremacy, sexisim and so on...but I still think people are downplaying a huge part of the problem - her - the democrats gave people an awful fucking choice to pick from.

 

I'd imagine it is an ideological difference. That is, those that have gained citizenship and managed to work themselves into the middle-class have adapted to a racialized, socioeconomic outlook when it comes to immigration. Think of it like when black leaders say to black youth that all they need to do is be respectful of police, and they won't get shot.

Also men, even men who are ethnic minorities can stick together through a shared sexism.
