So true, I see people criticize 'Childhood' for having obvious (and massive) use of autotune in the song, but I feel like it was purposefully done to add to the electronic and ethereal elements in that song.

You guys are talking about Everyone Everywhere? I'm actually listening to it right now, and the verses are what I prefer. I was actually hoping for this sound after hearing the outro for Blame It On My Youth before NINE dropped officially. When I first heard that song, I hoped that, at least, the next song would incorporate that same type of sound. But never did. And we finally got it on Every Other Weekend. Tom is killing it for the chorus on this new part 2 album, but it doesn't work for Every Other Weekend.

  3. All In My Head, Can't Go Back and Every Other Weekend are really good. The first two sound like a re-energized take on Neighborhoods and the latter is in line with the new wavey stuff I want them to lean even more on future releases.

Take Me In also took me by surprise both instrumentally and vocally. I feel like it would've been a fan favorite had it been included on the main album. I assume they put it aside due to its similarity with Childhood?

The rest definitely sounds like b-sides. Everyone Everywhere stands out in a negative way because despite having such a catchy chorus, the whole song sounds awkwardly stitched together. The riff after the second chorus sounds like it's building to a breakdown ala Obvious or Up All Night but it just... goes back to the chorus instead? Kind of an odd song.

I'm including CUT ME OFF and SEE YOU as part of the OMT part 2 release.

So, ten new blink tracks. We are spoiled blink fans right now. And yeah, these newer songs are refreshing right now.

    I'm so happy.

EVERYONE EVERYWHERE is hitting me hard throughout the morning too. So many BCR vibes on this one. I'm into the fast, slow, fast, slow, fast, rad bridge, fast song structure. Keeps me interested.

As far as just isolated parts go, Everyone's verses are like bottom 5 blink for me right off the bat lol. The chorus is better but it sounds like it should be on Tom's demos album

Right off the bat for OMT, swap Fell in Love with Every Other Weekend, Edging with If You Never Left, and Hurt with Can't Go Back.

Somehow held out on listening to any of the clips of pre releases. This is amazing. I love it all.

For any (small) complaints I have with a few of these songs, there is still nothing about any of these 27(!) songs that feels like they were on autopilot. Even the worst songs feel inspired.

Yeah Italia had a great take about how wild it is 3 years ago none of this would have even been a possibility in our minds. Agreed that even the songs that aren’t my favorite have big swings and heart in them on OMT and part 2.

I wasn’t worried about pt 2 being bad but I am genuinely surprised how good these songs are. Because of California deluxe my expectations were that but probably a little better. IMO this release blows that one out of the water by miles. Leads me to believe this era is just the beginning of a lot of rad shit to come.

  12. Finally got through my first listen.

    - "No Fun" rules. A great blend of I-Empire era AVA and Blink. The chorus kinda does the same thing as "When We Were Young" but works a lot better... ha.

    - "All In My Head" is great. Has that big heavy riff that's kinda BCR-ish/"Snake Charmer"-ish. The chorus is great. This would be fun to hear live.

    - Soooo happy to finally have "Can't Go Back." Sounds so fuckin good! That guitar tone is sooo BCR.

    - The chorus for "Every Other Weekend" is a lot of fun. I hope they play that one live.

    - "Everyone Everywhere" with that BCR opening riff! So good. This song is very Simple Creatures meets BCR.

    - "If You Never Left" is good. The guitar riffs in the second verse are so oldschool Blink.

    - "One Night Stand" is pretty good. Probably my least favorite on first listen.

    - The bridge to "Take Me Back" is so dumb. The chorus rules though.

If TERRIFIED was the kindling of the blink camp saying all of our past musical influences are welcome here EVERYONE EVERYWHERE is the gasoline and the blow torch. My condolences to those who dont like it. I have been playing it nonstop and it is blowing my mind every time. Is it their best song? No. Does it show us the future potential of each dude bringing their A game and individual artistic inclinations and making it work in a cohesive way to make the blink magic? Hell yes!

Yes! The intro reminds me of Best Of Me. The rest I can totally see being a Sum 41 song too.

This is a damn fine cup of coffee.

I will not accept any "One Night Stand" slander. It's easily my favorite outside of "Can't Go Back."

Man there are some sweet Travis parts in these songs. Parts that only work in blink and that’s why blink is blink.
