yeah, again, the goal of rioting is never really for it "to work." its not an organized revolt. these things are almost unanimously an organic and spontaneous expression of despair. they provide an outlet for that, a way to fight back, a way to show the lack of true control the state has over people. Watts held out 6 days against 14,000 national guardsmen.
