I wouldn't be surprised if Liam and Noel had zero clue about dynamic pricing and management made this decision behind their backs.

I thought we all agreed that most artists truly have no idea this is enabled on their events. It's handled by their various management companies and Ticketmaster, probably dropped in without anyone even noticing or caring.

I read that just for the UK shows each brother is getting 50 million pounds. I'm sure they just saw that offer and signed, not understanding that that money would be coming from dynamic pricing upcharges.

People really need to hold their heroes to a higher standard. Pretending that artists aren't culpable for scummy practices because they might have signed a contract without realising it, c'mon. Even if that were the case, ignorance is not an excuse.

Yea i have no reason to believe anyone who makes things I like would not take the opportunity to make extra money especially if there's enough deniability with "well we didn't know! that was ticketmaster"

Oh Im in no way implying that the Gallagher brothers are "men of the people" and would've rejected the contract at the sight of dynamic pricing. I'm saying that they care so much about cashing in on this tour that all they probably looked for was the dollar amount and the signature line. They don't care about anything written in between.

I'm the biggest Oasis fan, and it feels like all is right with the world now they are back together. I hope Alan White is on drums! He's been posting teasers suddenly implying it will be him

Any news on how to sign up for the two additional shows?

Been listening to Knebworth and Liam's Wembley show this week, we NEED recordings of these shows next year.

God, the crowd vocals are going to be insane.

Splurged and bought the 4-disc 30th anniversary pressing on Friday. Totally worth the cost for anyone on the fence

  18. Been diving into Noel and Liam's post-Oasis stuff. I've loved Noel's first couple records, especially when he leans into neo-psychedelia. From what I've read, some of the material that makes up his debut was initially meant for Dig Out Your Soul's follow up. Is that true?

He kinda lost me on his more recent stuff like the scattered EPs though. Not a fan of Beady Eye so far, but Liam's albums under his name are next.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I think Record Machine, Stop the Clocks and Come on Outside (the EP track) are the ones that were definitely for Oasis, there might be more we don't know about though. Clocks was talked about as far back as like 2002/3 but they were never happy with it or something?

I can't speak to any Liam solo under that name cos I haven't heard it but I thought Beady Eye were absolutely wretched haha, just awful stuff

Are you counting the one with John Squire as the most recent?

and “c’mon you know” as the 3rd? Or am I missing one?

I thought “everything’s electric” is one of his highlights as a solo artist but I can’t name another track off that record so you’re probably correct that it sucks lol

The first High Flying Birds album is fantastic. I'd rank it higher than some Oasis albums. His other 3 albums have some good stuff but also some stinkers.
Liam's first solo album is good, second one has some decent stuff, but his third solo album is as forgettable as both those Beady Eye albums. The John Squire album is the best thing he's done since Oasis.

Flick of the Finger is the only Beady Eye song worth revisiting.
