I went to that show too, the Stone Pony show in Asbury Park. The teeny tiny venue fit the small crowd well, haha.

I don’t listen to a lot of Joyce Manor, but they were really good live. They were taking requests and the whole band was ready to go for any song almost immediately. It was impressive.

my experience as well, i last saw them in 2014 and they weren't good, and in 2022 i saw them with spitalfield when they played stay what you are front to back with a huge encore and yah incredibly tight and they redeemed themselves live with me.

i remember the HOB clearing out before the set ended too, they played a long time but it was such a sick set, we stayed the entire night! Saves the Day Concert Setlist at House of Blues, Chicago on December 15, 2022 | setlist.fm

Saves the Day was my favorite band for a few years. First time I saw them was the tour with Senses Fail I think right before Sound the Alarm came out. Saw them a few more times after that and they were always really good. Fast forward to 2017, I saw them play the Chicago Bears Block Party and it was one of the most depressing shows I've ever seen. Absolutely mind bogglingly brutal.

I never have seen senses fail so I’ll probably go. Saves the day kinda sucked live the two times I saw them in 2010 and 2011 anyway so I can’t imagine what that band sounds like today. Don’t even really remember what Chris did, don’t even really care to remember since I’m not particularly interested in the band one way or another, but it is a weird tour for senses fail.

I hate how good Stay What You Are is given how shitty Chris is.

I haven't listened to stuff from it in so long and it was making me cry when Jukebox Breakdown was playing randomly on shuffle today. It was like part of myself was healing and connecting back to my childhood.

I fucking hate how shitty things have become.

    Newbie

    New-ish interview with Chris-
, starts about 45 minutes into the video.

There's some good music nerd stuff in here about guitar chords and song writing. I was very musically influenced by them and will always appreciate how they motivated me to want to learn to broaden my knowledge about chords and songwriting after In Reverie and again after Daybreak came out.

But he's saying the same stuff he's said for the last couple decades about meditation and spirituality, which frankly sounds phony as hell at this point knowing how unhinged he is and how horribly he has treated people. I really bought into it during the Daybreak era when I was younger and naïve enough to look up to musicians as people.

If you want to have your ears bleed, listen to the Senses Fail cover of STD. I haven't listened to Senses Fail in a long time but holy shit what happened to Buddy's voice

Oh, the lyric is “insecure.” I guess I’ve never bothered to look it up. I swear Buddy sings it as “encircled” haha

Are we sure that’s Buddy? I know it would be weird if Chris was in that track, but I am honestly not sure. It sounds a little different at times from Chris, but I dunno.

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

I think Buddy just tried to do a Chris impression and it was a terrible choice. The cover by Chris may be the wimpiest thing ever recorded though. Is he asleep? Lol
