this is a bad answer all around.

First because she just lies about her past views which just gives more fodder for the right, super easy to find clips of her saying she would ban fracking

Second because all she does is come to the defense of fracking and says she won't ban it and then even brags that she casted the tie breaking vote to expand leases for fracking. Could have at least mentioned something like making sure it's done in the safest ways possible and using technologies that would reduce emissions (even if that is still a bogus thing to say)

Liberals are so in love with the mythology of the Abe Lincoln "Team of rivals" bullshit. Lincoln appointing a "moderate" Democrat as his VP in 1864 turned out to be probably the most disastrous idiotic political move he made, and we got one of the worst presidents of all time and Reconstruction irreparably sabotaged because of it.

Yep. So many liberals who are otherwise good with Israel 80% of the time are ready and willing to throw Netanyahu under the bus and would like to blame all of this on him. I’d continue to argue with people about that fact, but the fact that they have such a politically expedient out to end this thing that is one of their biggest liabilities heading into November and choose not to use it is, again, evidence to me that they just support what Israel is doing.

 

I just keep thinking of how my family's tax dollars (not me, since I pay $0 US taxes while abroad, but still) directly helped pay for the missile that blew off half that Palestinian kid's head, emptying the skull of any matter. Like, fucking hell what are we doing
