I recognize it was fucking stupid of me to think there was even a 1% chance it was going to be Nigel in a championship feud and I know Bryan is part of creative so this is probably his choice but I still think it’s a fuckin wet fart of a first title defense

 

Yeah, this is honeslty gonna be a perfect short-term run through Wrestledream. 2 week build for Perry. 3 week build for Darby at Grand Slam. 2-3 week build for whoever is at Wrestledream (Im guessing Mox is who theyre building).

And then Full Gear or Worlds End has a 6 week build to give it to the actual contenders

 

Honestly, it's better than their usual move, which is to run Nyla Rose or Lance Archer at them.

 

I’m cool with it. Danielson will lose it back to Swerve in Tacoma at WrestleDream.

Tonight Danielson came out in a black T-shirt for the first time. Just like Mox. Makes you think. That dude cares about the details. It’s been white T-shirt Danielson for years.

Seems unlikely. It’s likely dissolving anyway because of Danielson leaving soon, but Pacpool Combat Club could still be a thing hahah.

That sequence between Worlds End, Wrestle Dynasty, and Grand Slam Australia strike me as when Danielson "retires" and drops the belt.

 

Late on watching Dynamite, but I do think it's pretty funny that Jericho's motivation for joining a seemingly random 8-man tag match is because Orange Cassidy ruined his jacket 3-years ago. All the motivation you need tbh.

 

AEW has done a pretty bad job marketing their talent to mainstream non-wrestling fans in general, but yeah this seems particularly egregious.

 

I thought Ishii was going to break Page’s neck on that dead eye.

 

At least it's a 1 week feud and not something more.

 

It's probably not happening but I'm hoping for Danielson/Nigel for WrestleDream, along with Ricochet/Ospreay.

If not then a trio of GYV/Nigel will be enough to make me happy.

 

I’m sure WWE are thrilled at that being released so close to them moving there next year haha

 

I would not be surprised if a large part of the doc is painting the narrative that they're not the same company now and they got the bad guy out. this whole thing would make Netflix look bad too
