yeah some friends some San Diego convinced me to come down, then I got my sister looped in, and yeah it should be a blast! Honestly The Matches being added and Saosin doing all of Self Titled are well worth the trip

    So assuming that this weekend...

Leaving Santa Cruz around 6:30am next Saturday to make it down to LA for this fest. I’m so fucking excited to see the Matches, and I can’t wait to see what their setlist looks like.

It hit me that the past few times I saw them they were for album anniversary play throughs, so I knew what to expect. I wonder if they’re going to lean into mostly E Von Dahl stuff or play pieces of all 3 albums (plus maybe Life of a Match).

considering this will be the Matches' first actual show in about 6 years, I'd expect a good portion of E Von Dahl stuff, some Decomposer jams at least. Maybe Wake the Sun and Point Me Toward the Morning from A Band in Hope. Either way, will be great and I can't wait.

Hopefully they are fine, last minute bands dropping off sucks at festivals

The architects and Judas Priest are on my shit list for bailing

Oh, I definitely already have a ticket. I was just stoked to see them twice.

They were also my main reason for buying a CAIFL ticket. Now I feel a bit sad for dropping $70 just to see Saosin for the bajillionth time, Finch who I just saw open for Bayside a few months back, and Anberlin with a singer who I don’t really care for.

But it is what it is. I’m down in LA this weekend for some other things anyway, so I’ll still go and try to enjoy it for what it is.
