talking heads would be cool but we’re talking a much smaller size tour haha

 

Wasn’t there rumors of REM and Talking Heads reunions semi recently?

 

REM played one song at a songwriting HOF induction and that seemed like it was it. talking heads just seemed like wish fulfillment hopes after the stop making sense movie tour but the band shut down the question every time they were asked

 

Yeah the R.E.M. performance was just a one-time thing. Everyone in the band is pretty stern on not reuniting

 

I got to see them both weekends of coachella this year and it was so sick

 

Operation Ivy, the Weakerthans, and the Hippos. Wild that it's hit a point where OpIvy feels infinitely more likely than those other two. LOL

There's a few other bands I'd want to see another set or two from but I was able to see them when they were active so that doesn't really count in the spirit of the convo, hah.

Still so bummed it never happened because I had flights and hotels booked that I could only get partially refunded.

We had two tickets for the show in Phoenix where I bought the vinyl bundles since getting tickets was such a pain; as such I still have two sealed sets of the Mayan records. I’m so glad I booked flights on Southwest but we ended up eating $200 on the hotel.

 

Young Bands? Is that like Young Thug?
