Really loved everything about this minus Ash/Rook. Woulda played way better as Fassbender but I guess they wanted a pop for the OG only ish fans.

Cailee and Jonnson were cooking. Never seen him in anything before but he was legit amazing

This guy made the movie for me. Absolutely harrowing performance. Pure horror.

I rewatched Alien 3 for the first time in a while last night, and I still really dig it. Definitely my favorite after the first two.

I just rewatched Prometheus and Covenant today. I liked them much more than theaters. Prometheus is still kind of confusing to me lol. Covenant is a lot of more of the same but I had an alright enough time. Wish Shaw was in it someway. The dread I felt when Waterstones character realizes it’s David as she’s going into cryo. Well done

All this alien talk the last few weeks has reminded me that one of the only things I ever found hilarious about Family Guy exists:

  13. I'm four drinks in and feel like defending AVP.

Requiem is unwatchable, one of the worst films I've ever seen, but the truth about AVP that no one wants to accept us that it's an action horror film in the same vein as Aliens And Predator, and while it's not as good as those films, it feels fresh for the franchise(s) and absolutely delivers on the titular mash-up

    lol

And yeah AVP is a solid fun movie. It definitely feels from its time in a lot of ways, but still entertaining. One thing I appreciated about Resurrection is how it felt older due to the aesthetic they went for which was obviously trying to match the first two movies imo

I'd say if this gets to around $180 to $200 mil it is guaranteed

Really wonder what direction they’d go with a sequel too.
